Round Seven: Brett Smith, QB, Wyoming
So I’ve made it a habit of drafting two QBs in just about every mock draft I’ve done. Smith is a guy who is picking up steam, and the chances of him being here in the 7th is beginning to look unlikely. He is a dual threat QB that has NFL calibre arm talent. He’s very mobile and able to throw on the run. An athletic quarterback, Smith has excellent mobility that can extend plays with his feet. He’ll need a lot of time to sit and learn, but if given a chance he could be very dangerous if coaches are able to combine their knowledge with his athleticism.
