First Round: Jadaveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina

In this particular scenario, the Houston Texans selected Johnny Manziel and the St. Louis Rams went with offensive tackle Jake Mathews with the first two picks. This would be a dream scenario. QB Teddy Bridgewater and DE Jadaveon Clowney are my two favorite players this year. Deciding between the two would not be difficult if I was in Caldwell’s shoes, though. Don’t think just because Jacksonville signed Chris Clemons and Red Bryant in free agency and re-signed Jason Babin that they’re finished addressing the defensive line. This position group was very sack deficient last season.

Many are worried about Clowney’s drive and work ethic. I am not. Jacksonville is the perfect place for Clowney. Gus Bradley is a fantastic motivator and so far has shown a tendency to get the absolute best out of his players. Jadaveon Clowney is the most talented, naturally gifted player in the 2014 rookie class. With Gus Bradley’s tutelage, the possibilities are endless.

Available: QB Teddy Bridgewater, OLB Khalil Mack, WR Sammy Watkins, OT Greg Robinson, QB Blake Bortles
