The fourth ranked Jacksonville Jaguar defense will host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.  Jalen Ramsey will be in full lockdown mode against all Viking receivers.

On a day when the Jacksonville Jaguars induct Jimmy Smith into the Pride of the Jaguars, a future inductee will be on the prowl.   Jalen Ramsey will be wrecking havoc on any Minnesota Viking receiver in his area.  It is safe to say that he will lockdown EverBank.

Ramsey is playing at a very high level.  The Viking quarterback, Sam Bradford, has thrown for 13 touchdowns for 2662 yards and three interceptions.  He has not faced Ramsey yet!

The Viking offense is ranked last in rushing offense.  Minnesota averages about 297 total yards/game.  This sounds a team the Jaguars played earlier this season in Jacksonville.  The result will be different this time.

Ramsey has locked down several good receivers this season.  He held Baltimore’s Steve Smith to 87 receiving yards.  Alshon Jeffery was held to three yards receiving after a big first half (90 yards) in Chicago.  Ramsey will lockdown his side of EverBank.

Ramsey Will Lockdown These Viking Receivers.

First, Stefon Diggs will lineup across from Ramsey.  Diggs is the leading receiver for Minnesota.  He has 75 receptions for 805 yards with two touchdowns.  Ramsey is as speedy as Diggs but is more of a physical presence at 6’1 and 211.  At 6′ and 191, Diggs will be held in lockdown.

Second, Adam Thielen might see Ramsey in certain formations. Thielen has 52 catches for 657 yards and three touchdowns.  If Thielen lines up across from Ramsey, expect the Vikings to run a screen to the slot receiver.

Third, Cordarrelle Patterson has 41 receptions for 334 yards and two touchdowns.  Consequently, Patterson will not be a factor.  Most of all, the Jaguar secondary is more than able to lockdown the EverBank with these Viking receivers.

Remember that Shad Khan wanted to see improvement each year.  Obviously, the Jaguar defense is carrying the team this season.  Jalen Ramsey is the reason that the Jaguar defense is playing at such a high level.
