Jaguars vs Steelers, Preseason Week 1: 5 things to watch – First Coast News

"The Jaguars only had six interceptions (tied for last in the league) and 52 pass breakups (last in the league) last season. This year, that has to change quite a bit for the team to be successful. The secondary has had issues intercepting passes during training camp but has seemingly improved its ability to defend the pass. With backups in action, it should give the secondary as a whole the opportunity to grab balls off poor throws.Davon House and Sergio Brown were given money to start and Aaron Colvin is fully recovered from his knee injury, so there should be a increase in playmakers this season. Hopefully, that’s not just a theory, but actually a reality."

What we’ve learned through week 2 of training camp – Bleacher Report

"The battle for the fourth, fifth and potentially sixth receiver spot has been heated since OTAs, but it’s really starting to reach it’s height. Benn and Greene look like front-runners for the guaranteed fourth/fifth spot, but there is still a good amount of time left in the preseason. The Jaguars’ receiver group looks stronger than last year, at least in consistency from top to bottom. Allen Robinson is delivering up top, and if Greene in the slot or Benn as an extra option is the Jaguars’ worst option, then they can be happy going into the season."

Jacksonville Jaguars: If…And…But for 2015 – NFL Spin Zone

"One addition that should help Jacksonville’s cause is Jared Odrick, late of the Miami Dolphins. Eventually, he will team inside with Sen’Derrick Marks, with Roy Miller and Ziggy Hood in reserve. New right outside linebacker Dan Skuta was also an intriguing addition and he’ll team with second-year pro Telvin Smith and highly-productive middle linebacker Paul Posluszny to form a potentially improved unit."
