Training camp is helping the Jacksonville Jaguars bring clarity to the running back depth chart. Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby are quickly becoming the top two options in the backfield, with Bhayshul Tuten missing a few practices with a hamstring injury. He's back in the fold but has lots of catchup to do if he wants to earn significant playing time early in the regular season. Lost in the mix is 2025 seventh-round pick LeQuint Allen, who's quietly stood out in limited opportunities.

John Shipley of Sports Illustrated reports that Etienne and Bigsby have gotten the bulk of their workload in training camp, with the former getting reps in passing situations while the latter has become their go-to guy to tote the rock. Here's the skinny.

"It is starting to become more and more clear how the Jaguars are using their starting running backs," Shipely wrote. "Tank Bisgby and Travis Etienne have had a monopoly on reps alongside Trevor Lawrence compared to the rest of the running back room, and the Jaguars are seemingly using each to their strenghts."

Shipley continued, "Bigsby was once again the tone-setter on the ground, picking up two impressive runs after rinding creases created by the offensive line. He has been the most impressive downhill rusher, while Etienne has been far away the Jaguars' best and most-used running back in the passing game."

Meanwhile, Tuten is back to practice after dealing with a hamstring injury. He flashed early in training camp, but he appears to be below Bigsby and Etienne in the totem pole.

How about Jaguars rookie LeQuint Allen? He's quietly thriving at camp

Because LeQuint Allen is in the cellar of the depth chart, he's not getting nearly as many reps in training camp. Nevertheless, he's making the best of every opportunity he gets. Tom McManus of 1010XL notes that the rookie out of Syracuse trucked linebacker Ventrell Miller on Day 6, adding that he also stymied veteran Foyesade Oluokun on a blitz pickup.

"Anyone else on here commenting on how LaQuint [LeQuint] trucked Ventrell Miller during the red zone 11 on 11? Or how Allen stoned Foye in the same team drill on a blitz pickup?" McManus wrote on Twitter. "I like 38 too. He's a thumper. But 36 appears to be one too. Street dog. Gotta love scrappy players. LFG."

All things considered, Allen's prowess in the passing game isn't particularly surprising. That was his forte on the Orangemen offense, and he routinely shone in that area during the offseason. In fact, Hays Carlyon of 1010XL said that the rookie running back doesn't look like a seventh-round pick.

Similarly, Allen got Trevor Lawrence's endorsement following an encouraging showing at mandatory minicamp. At this pace, it would be shocking if he doesn't make the 53-man roster. If that wasn't enough, Syracuse offensive coordinator Jeff Nixon believes the Jags got a steal in Allen. Sure, he may be biased because he was his coach, but he probably wouldn't give him a shoutout if he didn't think he deserved it.

Ultimately, LeQuint Allen may not get many carries in 2025, given how stacked the Jags are at running back. But based on how he's fared in training camp, he should come through if he's thrust into action.
