It's been an eventful offseason for Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars, and we haven't even gotten to the free agency period or the draft just yet.
Of course, the big headlines came when the coaching staff was completely renovated after the firing of Doug Pederson. And, then came the Tren Baalke news. In what's been an unorthodox way of doing things, the Jaguars are still figuring it out.
New head coach Liam Coen is now here and has been assembling his staff. But, the team is still on the hunt for their general manager, with a decision likely coming soon.
As for Lawrence? He has no other choice but to roll with the punches. After all, that's been the story of his career thus far. In a recent interview with NFL personality Kay Adams, Lawrence detailed some of his thoughts on how his career has gone so far.
"I've had a very kind of crazy journey, and like you said, a lot of different coaches and staff so far in my career. And I think my rookie year was so wild that it helped me, help prepare me for when things do change or some adversity," Lawrence said.
Trevor Lawrence wasn't shy about publicly calling the Jaguars a mess
One particular quote was worthy of more attention after Lawrence was asked about his former coach, Doug Pederson, being let go.
"And obviously, you know, coach (Pederson) came in my second year, and, like I said, it was a mess here, and we had a lot of stuff to get back on track, as far as just, you know, players, culture, just energy, kind of like what I'm saying now," he noted.

Lawrence is simply calling a spade a spade, here. After the Urban Meyer experiment failed miserably, Lawrence and the Jaguars were left with a mess, indeed. The quarterback had just finished his rookie season under a wildly unpredictable head coach and now had the privilege of his second head coach in as many years.
Having been through multiple coaches and play-callers over his first four years, Lawrence has already been behind the 8-ball. But, it hasn't helped that Jacksonville hasn't been able to put consistent playmakers around him. And, the playmakers that have been around Lawrence have not always been healthy.
Jaguars fans know this all too well. The organization has not been run well in recent years, and the promise we once saw in Lawrence has somewhat faded due to many things that have been out of the young quarterback's control.
Now, does he need to improve? Absolutely. Does Lawrence need to take a big step in what will be his fifth year? Of course. Hopefully, Coen is exactly what he needs to get back on an upward trajectory. But, things have not been crisp and clean over his first four years. That's for sure.
