The Jacksonville Jaguars tend to be creative with their schedule releases. In 2024, they joined forces with local influencer Ashton Hall. The year prior, they went with a "the league is scripted" angle. This year, the Jags turned it up to 11.

If you were expecting the Jags to come up with a clever sketch, you were probably disappointed, because they did something with Trevor Lawrence that nobody would have imagined.

Trevor Lawrence cuts his magestic hair in the Jaguars schedule release

That's right, the Jaguars dropped their slate for opponents at the same time Trevor Lawrence gets a new hairdo.

The truth is that it's odd to see the Steezy without long hair. You will probably have to go back to his high school days to find a pic of him with short hair.

Earlier this year, there were rumors that Lawrence had gotten his hair done, but they were quickly disproven. On a related note, he had been urged to cut it for a while. This was odd when you take into account that whatever look he chose had no bearing on how he played.

Now, the Jags wrote on a different post that it's not AI, and understandably so. They kind of show the process in the video, and you can see the hair falling as the barber cuts it. That said, you don't see the full thing because of cuts, so there's a slight chance that No. 16 didn't get a haircut and is instead wearing a wig. We'll find out whether he did when he meets with the local media.

The Jaguars have a good mix of favorable and tough matchups for 2026

You could make the case that Trevor Lawrence's new look stole the spotlight from the Jaguars schedule release simply because nobody was expecting it. That said, Jacksonville will get a favorable slate of opponents with two tough stretches throughout the season. You be the judge:

  • Week 1: vs. the Cleveland Browns
  • Week 2: @ the Denver Broncos
  • Week 3: vs. the New England Patriots
  • Week 4: @ the Cincinnati Bengals
  • Week 5: vs. the Philadelphia Eagles
  • Week 6: vs. the Houston Texans
  • Week 7: BYE
  • Week 8: vs. the Indianapolis Colts
  • Week 9: @ the Baltimore Ravens
  • Week 10: @the Tennessee Titans
  • Week 11: @ the New York Giants
  • Week 12: vs. the Tennessee Titans
  • Week 13: @ the Chicago Bears
  • Week 14: vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Week 15: @ the Houston Texans
  • Week 16: @ the Dallas Cowboys
  • Week 17: vs. the Washington Commanders
  • Week 18: @ the Indianapolis Colts

As you can see, the schedule includes a gauntlet against playoff teams (with the exception of Cincy) from Weeks 2 to 6. Then, after playing the Colts in Week 8, Jacksonville will play three consecutive games on the road.

The good news is that the Jaguars have enough talent on both sides of the ball, along with an outstanding head coach in Liam Coen. So whether Trevor Lawrence cut his hair or not, they're in position to once again make noise in 2026.
