One of Trevor Lawrence's most distinguishable physical traits, dating back to his Clemson days, is his long hair. This is why pictures of the Jacksonville Jaguars getting a haircut went viral this past weekend. The issue is that there was no proof that Lawrence got a makeover, and a local reporter took it upon himself to unveil the truth.
Not long after the picks showcasing Lawrence's new look made the rounds on the internet, Marcel Robinson of Action Sports Jax posted on Twitter a picture of him, shutting down any rumors that he had gotten a haircut.

Trevor Lawrence is one of the rare NFL quarterbacks with long hair
Trevor Lawrence's haircut stands out because quarterbacks rarely let it grow. Fellow signal-caller and former Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew II also had long hair, albeit not nearly as long. Another Jags quarterback, Blaine Gabbert, had long hair early in his NFL career but eventually cut it.
Before Lawrence, though, the quarterback who got the most headlines for his long hair (and looks) was probably another Clemson alum, Charlie Withehurst a.k.a. Clipboard Jesus. That you can count the ammount of NFL quarterbacks with long hair goes on to show just how rare it is.
Circling back to Lawrence, his looks earned him comparisons to Ronnie "Sunshine" Bass, one of the main characters on Remember the Titans. While he says that the Sunshine nickname doesn't bother him, he doesn't really like it and prefers to be called Trevor.
Unlike Lawrence, though, Minshew eventually cut his hair during his last year with the Jaguars, arguing that the refined Platinum Power Pelt look was more aerodynamic and sleek. Just a few months after changing hairstyles, though, the 2019 sixth-round pick was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Don't expect Trevor Lawrence to get a haircut anytime soon
If Trevor Lawrence ever decides to get a new hairstyle, it will be because he wants a new look, not because fans or the Jaguars urged him to. That said, don't expect him to change it anytime soon. Sure, a flatoop like the one legendary quarterback Johnny Unitas used to rock would suit him well, but it won't truly affect how he plays.
And that's the thing, Lawrence is coming off the best season of his career, and even if he had struggled, you could not have objectively blamed his performance on his haircut.
The truth is that the Jaguars won't mind what kind of hairstyle Trevor Lawrence has as long as he keeps racking up wins.
