It's sure been a busy month of two-way star Travis Hunter. Just a few weeks after the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted him second overall, he returned to Colorado for his graduation. The West Palm Beach, Florida native knew that the spotlight would be on him during such an important moment, so he made sure to represent his new team.
Hunter returned to Colorado for his college graduation, wrapping up what was an impressive career both on and off the field. Aside from being the top prospect in last year's draft, he majored in Anthropology with a 4.0 GPA and earned Academic All-American honors twice. Here's the video of the event.

And here's a still picture of Hunter and his classmates. If you zoom in, you can see that he's wearing pants stamped with several Jaguars logos under his gown.

The truth is that Hunter didn't have to, but proudly represents his NFL team. And this is far from the first time he's shown them love. During the 2024 college season, the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner was in the middle of an interview when the hosts said that the New York market was bigger than Jacksonville, and it didn't care. Right off the bat, he stopped them in their tracks and called them out for taking shots at Jacksonville. Below is the clip.

Travis Hunter feels right at home with the Jacksonville Jaguars
When asked why the Jacksonville Jaguars traded for Travis Hunter, general manager James Gladstone said that they couldn't pass up the chance to land a player who could not only change the course of the franchise or the city, but the whole sport as well. And while it's a bit early to tell how his legacy will play out, it's fair to say that the former Buffalo is already leaving his mark. It helps that he's highly relatable.
During the draft, Hunter was filmed playing the mobile video game Clash of Clans. Later in his introductory press conference, he responded that he wouldn't be going to a party or a nightclub to celebrate. Instead, he wanted to get his hands on the playbook to start studying. It's also known that he likes fishing, and that's what makes Hunter such a unique player.
As relatable and down-to-earth as he can be, he was one of the most electrifying players in the collegiate ranks on the football field and one of their top students in the classroom. That's why the Jags didn't hesitate to trade up for him in this past draft.
