Predicting the last four games of the Jaguars schedule this season

How Jacksonville could finish, and where that might leave them in the playoff race

The Jacksonville Jaguars are riding high after spending most of the 2025 season being underestimated and overlooked by the NFL. However, they are now on top of the AFC South, and are essentially guaranteed to have a spot in the playoffs; it's just a matter of which seed they get.

Having won five of their last six games, the Jaguars are clearly on a major hot streak. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who struggled at the beginning of the season, is getting better each week, and Jacksonville has the best run defense in the league.

Yet, heading into their Week 14 match-up against the Indianapolis Colts, the Jaguars were assumed to be the losers, despite winning over and over again. Instead, they destroyed Indy and are now preparing for the final stretch of the season. While things are looking good for the moment, what could the end of the season bring for Jags fans?

How the Jaguars could close out the season and what it might mean for January

The Jaguars have finally been ranked in the top 10, after being ignored most of the season — even ranked below multiple teams they had defeated.

Currently, Jacksonville is sitting strong at 9-4, but a late-season collapse could completely derail their postseason hopes. Fortunately, their final games seem manageable, but are there any surprises in store? With this in mind, here's a prediction for each of their last four games.

Week 15: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. the New York Jets (3-10)

A game against the Jets might seem like an easy win, but any team can win on any given Sunday, and the Jaguars have the troubling tendency to play to their opponents' levels... and against a weaker team like the Jets, fans know there's always the possibility that they won't be seeing the best version of the Jags.

However, we haven't seen that version of the Jags in recent weeks; consider how they utterly dominated the Tennessee Titans at 25-3, for example. This is a game the Jaguars should win easily, especially considering the major issues the Jets are having at multiple positions.

Jacksonville should walk away with a win and improve to 10-4.

Week 16: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. the Denver Broncos (11-2)

This is by far the most difficult game the Jaguars have ahead of them. Currently, the Jaguars hold the No. 3 seed in the playoffs, and who has the No. 1 seed? That's right: the Broncos. For some reason, the Jaguars-Broncos game was snubbed for prime time, but that's not the question at hand. Is this a game the Jaguars can win?

Denver is one of the best teams in the AFC, if not the entire league, and the Jaguars will be facing them at Mile High Stadium, making it even tougher. Chances are, Jacksonville will put up a valiant fight, but Denver will probably win this one... but not by much.

Jaguars record falls to 10-5.

Week 17: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. the Indianapolis Colts (8-5)

The Colts are in free-fall, so even though the Jaguars will be traveling to Indianapolis, but even a home advantage won't be enough to keep the Colts from getting a win here. It would take a near-miracle, considering the numerous injuries Indy is battling, and how poorly they've been playing lately.

Jacksonville will be facing either a brand-new rookie QB (who also, by the way, is injured) or a geriatric quarterback who just left retirement. Jonathan Taylor is always a threat, but the Jaguars have the best run defense in the NFL. And the Colts' defense, meanwhile, is riddled with injuries, too.

Jacksonville should get an easy win and improve to 11-5 and celebrate its first 11-win season since 2007.

Week 18: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. the Tennessee Titans (2-11)

This should, like with the Jets, an easy win for the Jaguars if they choose to play their starters. The question here is more of whether or not head coach Liam Coen writes the game off as a loss, focusing more on the postseason, or wants to end on a high point. The Jaguars will have clinched the AFC South by Week 18 though, so it's plausible that Coen will be looking ahead.

But even with the major starters, like Lawrence and Travis Etienne, benched, the Titans are bad enough that the Jaguars could still plausibly win with their backups on the field.

Jacksonville ends the season with a win and a 12-5 record, with their starters rested and ready for the postseason.
