The Jacksonville Jaguars were one of the hottest teams in 2025, finishing 13-4 just one year after mustering a measly four wins. This season, they've wasted no time picking up where they left off, playing their way to an encouraging 2-1 record.

Heck, the Jags could be 3-0 if they had kept their halftime lead and finished the job against the Denver Broncos. But anyway, even the best teams will have an off day, and Jacksonville is pretty darn good.

Of course, other good teams await the Jaguars. In particular, their October schedule includes three tough opponents, and it will be interesting to see how the Jags will fare against them. With this in mind, here's a record prediction of their October games.

Jaguars' record prediction for each of their October games

Week 4: Jaguars @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Jaguars will travel to Ohio to take on the Cincinnati Bengals. Both teams are 2-1 and looking to earn their third win of the season in Week 4. Only one should come out on top, and that's Jacksonville.

Sure, Cincy did a good job of bolstering the offensive and defensive lines in the offseason. Joe Burrow is healthy, and Ja'Marr Chase remains his dominant self. But if one team can go toe-to-toe with the Bengals, it's Jacksonville.

The Jaguars don't have an elite WR like Chase, but they have lots of talent at the position. Their defense also matches up favorably against the Cincinnati offense.

This could turn out to be a close game, but expect the Jags to come back home with a 3-1 record.

Prediction: Jaguars win

Week 5: Jaguars vs. Philadelphia Eagles

You could make the case that this isn't a home game for the Jaguars because it will be at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but they're used to playing in London. Moreover, EverBank Stadium will be undergoing work at this time, so even if Jacksonville wanted to play at the Bank, it wouldn't be a realistic venue.

Anyway, the Eagles made the playoffs last year, but they're failing to get a groove on offense. Philly hired offensive coordinator Sean Mannion to fix the offense, but things haven't improved much thus far.

The devastating loss to ageless wonder Case Keenum and the Chicago Bears probably won't quell concerns any time soon. Granted, Philadelphia could bounce back and find its stride as the season progresses, but the Jags should feel good about themselves going into their Week 5 matchup.

Prediction: Jaguars win

Week 6: Jaguars vs. Houston Texans

This is probably going to be the toughest match of the three. Sure, the Houston Texans are 0-3 and dealing with offensive issues that go beyond C.J. Stroud. Having said that, the Jags have had trouble putting them away in recent years since DeMeco Ryans took over. Heck, the Jags came close to sweeping them in 2025 but suffered a full-scale collapse in one of their outings.

As of this writing, though, it doesn't look like Houston is going to get better anytime soon, but that's precisely what makes this a potential trap game.

Even though the Jags should win somewhere around 13 or 14 games this season, they'll also lose a few. This is one of the few.

Prediction: Jaguars lose

If you're keeping up, you'll notice that the Jags will win two out of three games in October, meaning that they'll be 4-2 going into their BYE. Because as good as the Jags are, they can't go undefeated.
