The Jacksonville Jaguars will wrap up the 2024 NFL Preseason when they face the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. They're currently riding a two-game losing skid, having last beaten the Dirty Birds in the distant year of 2018.

Even though the game won't count in the standings, there will be plenty of intriguing plotlines to keep an eye on. For starters, Trevor Lawrence and the starters will play around two quarters. That's plenty of time. The second and third teams will enter the field in the second half and the coaching staff will proceed to make evaluations.

With roster cutdown day looming, players will be incentivized to make one last impression. And if you're wondering how you can watch the game, we've got you covered.

Jaguars-Falcons recent outcomes:

The Jaguars are coming off two consecutive wins. The latest one came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The offense had no trouble moving the ball in spite of the inadequate protection up front. The defense also held its own while showcasing the depth the team has at several position groups.

On the other hand, the Falcons lost to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2 of the preseason. One of the biggest storylines was that their coaching staff chose to hold rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. out even though he could've benefitted from the extra work. Atlanta drafted him eighth overall earlier this year even though they had already signed Kirk Cousins in free agency.

Cousins is slated to start in the regular season but he's currently recovering from an Achilles injury he suffered last year. Penix will most likely hold the fort during his absence but he won't be suiting up, along with several starters, for the preseason finale against the Jaguars.
