What channel is the Browns-Jaguars game on today? Start time, announcers, and more
The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't start the 2024 season the way they probably hoped, losing to the Miami Dolphins in Week 1. While they had the lead and a favorable chance to win, a series of events ultimately led to their loss. The good news is that the Jags have ample time to recover and they'll have the chance to earn their first win of the year when they face the Cleveland Browns at TrEverBank Stadium.
That's right, Jacksonville will be playing at TrEverBank. They'll be renaming EverBank Stadium temporarily as part of a marketing campaign in which Trevor Lawrence has become an ambassador for EverBank, a local finance company.
Going back to the Week 2 matchup, the Jags are a 3-point favorite. They'll be taking on a Browns team that got pummeled by the Dallas Cowboys in the season opener. Ahead of the game, they've already ruled out tight end David Njoku and left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. for the contest. Moreover, right tackle Jack Conklin is listed as questionable.
Add the fact that quarterback Deshaun Watson isn't playing particularly well, and Jacksonville will have a chance to get their first win of the year. And if you want to watch the game, here's how you can do it.
Jaguars-Browns TV Channel:
This is a home game for the Jaguars, so you can catch it on CBS47 or W-FOX TV. If you're out of the market, you can then try the NFL Network. Don't forget that kickoff is at 1:00 p.m. ET.
If you prefer to stream the game, you can then try fuboTV or NFL+, but both services require a subscription. And if you choose to listen to it, WJXL has you covered. Tune in at 92.5 FM/1010 AM or 99.9 Gator Country.
Jaguars-Browns announcers:
If you watch the local coverage, Chris Lewis and Jason McCourty will provide live analysis from the booth while Amanda Cuerra handles sideline duty.
But if you listen to the game, Frank Frangie, Jeff Lageman, and Tony Boselli will serve as the announcers while Bucky Brooks reports from the sidelines.
Jaguars-Browns recent outcomes:
These two clubs met in Week 14 last year. At the time, the Jaguars still had a chance to make the playoffs and they would've virtually clinched a seed if they had come out on top. However, Cleveland won in part because Joe Flacco amassed over 300 passing yards and three touchdowns. Before that game, the Jaguars took on the Browns in 2020. Once again, they lost, 27-22 that time.
In fact, you would have to go all the way back to 2017 to find the last time the Jags beat Cleveland. The silver lining is that Jacksonville leads the all-time series 12-7, including the regular season and the playoffs.
On a related note, Jacksonville played the Browns in the 2021 preseason. That game was remarkable because then-rookie Travis Etienne suffered a Lisfranc injury that cut his rookie campaign short. Moreover, the game marked the last time Gardner Minshew and Tim Tebow donned the Jaguars uniform. In the aftermath, the former was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, and the latter was released.
