Jaguars News: The AFC could see another shakeup with this Lamer Jackson story
The Jacksonville Jaguars had a very good season in 2022 and they hope to be even better in 2023. Getting better could mean challenging for a Super Bowl appearance. One of the biggest problems right now is the fact that the AFC is so strong.
We have seen some shakeup in the AFC lately as Derek Carr was traded out (Las Vegas Raiders to New Orleans Saints) of it while Aaron Rodgers is coming in (Green Bay Packers to New York Jets). Well, it seems as if more shakeup is coming.
On Monday, Lamar Jackson revealed on Twitter dot com that he has requested to be traded away from the Baltimore Ravens. He believes that his value is not being met or respected by the Ravens in his contract negotiations so he requested a trade on March 2nd.
This does not mean that he will for sure be traded. It does mean that there is a good chance that he is though as it seems as if he doesn't want to be there anymore.
Lamar Jackson requested a trade which can help the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Obviously, a team in your conference losing an All-World MVP-caliber quarterback is huge news. If he doesn't go to another AFC team, that would be great news for the other contenders in the conference which includes the Jaguars.
Baltimore has been one of the top teams in the league for a long time. They certainly don't win the Super Bowl every single year but they did get one in 2012 and are always in contention for the playoffs. They have been very entertaining lately.
If they lose Lamar Jackson, however, it will be hard to see them doing well in a very strong AFC North without a very good replacement. With the Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Cleveland Browns all trying to win right now, it will be difficult.
This is also something that can be seen as a wake-up call for the Jaguars. They should try and get Trevor Lawrence locked down as quickly as they can so this never becomes a situation that they worry about. Without a quarterback, things can go bad quickly. As a result of this particular case in Baltimore, there is a big shake-up coming.
