The Jacksonville Jaguars are all wrapped up with day five of 2023 Training Camp. Things are going well for the team as they get ready for the regular season.
It feels like it is far away still on July 31st but it will be here before you know it. The Jaguars are hoping that this is the second great year in a row as things are starting to come together.
Wide receiver Christian Kirk had some very nice things to say after practice on Monday. He went through and had some high praise for his quarterback, Trevor Lawrence.
It sounds like he is all-in on what they can do as an offense with Trevor Lawrence. He went through and talked about some things that he has already noticed as an improvement over last year.
Christian Kirk had some nice things to say about his QB on Monday.
Trevor Lawrence was awesome in 2022 and that came with just a little experience in this league. Now that he knows what it takes to win a division and make a comeback to win a playoff game, he should be set to go for this year.
Kirk might be right about "the light switch being on". That makes a ton of sense as Trevor enters his third year in the league.
So far in practice, Kirk seems to be building more chemistry with his QB while others are stepping in and helping out. Wide receivers Zay Jones and Calvin Ridley have been noticeable in practice so far and that needs to continue into the regular season.
If they all come together with Evan Engram at tight end and a good running game, this team is going to be very dangerous.
Hearing this clip from Kirk tells us two things. The first is that he and the group are very confident in their quarterback which is very important.
It also shows that he has some clear leadership ability and he is putting it on display. Hopefully, that continues throughout camp and into the season where there are now some expectations on this team. A winning season for the Jaguars is expected but also not given for free.
