After months of preparation, the Jacksonville Jaguars are ready to take on the Miami Dolphins in Week 1 of the regular season. Coming off a disappointing end to 2023, the Jags are looking to bounce back and reclaim the AFC South. It won't be easy but they have the pieces in place to pull it off. Getting off to a strong start will certainly help.

Working in Jacksonville's favor is that they have a relatively clean bill of health ahead of the opener. Their only player listed on the Injury Report for the bout is safety Daniel Thomas, who mainly contributes on special teams.

The Dolphins, on the other hand, could be without center Aaron Brewer and All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The one thing they have going for them is that Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Weddle will be available. Similarly, pass rusher Jaelan Phillips will play, albeit on a snap count.

Regardless of who suits up for the Dolphins, Jacksonville must show up ready to roll. And if you have a chance to watch the game, here's how you can do it with or without cable.

How to watch Jaguars vs. Dolphins on TV:

If you're in the Jacksonville area, you can catch the game on CBS47, or W-FOX TV (channel 30). Kevin Harlin and Trent Green will be the boot analysts while Melanie Collins handle sideline duty. If you're out of the area, you can then watch the bout on the NFL Network.

If you prefer to listen to the game, or you won't be able to watch it on TV, you can then listen to the broadcast on WJXL 1010 AM/92.5 FM, or 99.9 Gator Country. Frank Frangie and Jeff Lageman will provide live analysis, with Bucky Brooks reporting from the sideline.

How to stream the Jaguars vs. the Dolphins in Week 1:

If you want to stream the game, you can do it on fuboTV. One advantage of their service is that you can always find out-of-market games. They're currently offering a free seven-day trial. You can claim it by clicking here. All you need to get started is a working internet connection to watch the game on your cellphone, tablet, or computer.

Another option is NFL+. Like fuboTV, it requires a subscription. Right now, it's priced at $6.99 a month. They also have other plans that include NFL RedZone, and game replays.

Jaguars vs. Dolphins game details:

  • Location: Hard Rock Stadium
  • Kickoff time: 1:00 p.m. ET, 12:00 p.m. CT
  • Last regular season matchup: 2021 (Jaguars won)

Surprisingly, the Jaguars are 6-5 all-time against Miami. The last time these two teams played each other was in 2021, the lone year Urban Meyer was the Jacksonville head coach. The game took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in England. At the time, the Jags were riding a five-game losing skid.

Against all odds, Jacksonville came out on top, in part thanks to kicker Matthew Wright, who nailed the game-winning field goal to make it 23-20. It's also worth noting that the game was just a couple of weeks after Meyer went viral for getting caught dancing inappropriately with a woman who wasn't his wife.

Somehow, the Jaguars managed to forget about Meyer's shenanigans for a brief period and beat Miami. Unfortunately, that was just one of three wins they racked up that year. The silver lining is that they've improved considerably since Doug Pederson took over, and they'll have a chance to show just how good they are when they face the Dolphins in the 2024 opener.
