3 Jaguars players not named Cam Robinson that didn't help themselves vs. the Lions
• The end could be near for RB Snoop Conner
• Kevin Austin hasn't had any momentum going
No. 1 Jaguars player who didn't impress vs. the Lions: Kevin Austin Jr, WR
The Jaguars are stacked at wide receiver which means that they'll need to part ways with players they would otherwise like to keep around. With Calvin Ridley, Jamal Agnew, Christian Kirk and Zay Jones having a roster spot secured, there will be several wideouts vying for the one or two remaining slots.
Parker Washington, a sixth-round pick in this year's draft, seems to be a favorite to get the nod. Although he was relatively quiet against the Cowboys, he reached the end zone in Week 2 on a 15-yard catch. Jacob Harris, formerly a tight end, continues to make plays after a ridiculous grab against the Cowboys.
There's also Time Jones, who got called for holding early in the game but made up for it the following play with a 48-yard reception. There's also undrafted rookie Elijah Cooks had his second productive game in a row while Seth Williams continues to make a strong impression.
One receiver that hasn't been able to make the most out of his chances? Kevin Austin Jr. An undrafted free agent last year, the former Notre Dame Irish was an intriguing player heading into the 2022 season but ended up spending his rookie campaign in the Jaguars' practice squad.
Heading into the 2023 season, Austin hasn't done enough to make you think he's deserving of a roster spot. He reeled in no receptions in three targets against the Cowboys and finished the bout against Detroit with one catch for a measly three years. Simply, Austin hasn't done to boost his stock ahead of cutdown day while other receivers have seen their one rise over the last two weeks.
