The Jacksonville Jaguars made several baffling mistakes against the Houston Texans but ultimately won because several players stepped in late in the game to seal the win. One of them was Josh Hines-Allen.

Down 17-10 in the fourth quarter, the Texans tried to tie the game. But their comeback attempt came up short when Hines-Allen disrupted a C.J. Stroud pass that was picked off by Antonio Johnson. Aside from the tipped pass, the former Kentucky Wildcat logged six total pressures, giving him an NFL-best 19 for the season.

Next, the Jaguars will face the 49ers in Week 4. And if they want to have a shot at winning, they'll need Hines-Allen once again to come through. With that in mind, here is a bold prediction and the odds for the upcoming game.

Jaguars odds vs. the 49ers for Week 4

The Jaguars are a 3.0-point underdog with a moneyline of +154, according to DraftKings Sportbook. Place a bet of $100 and win $154 for a total payout of $254 if Jacksonville beats the Niners. San Francisco's moneyline sits at -185. To win $100, you must bet $185 for a total payout of $285.

The over/under for the game is set at 47.5. The over is set at -105 and the over is -115.

It's worth noting that the Niners are 3-0 despite the fact that they've been dealing with injuries to key players. Earlier this year, they placed tight end George Kittle on injury reserve. Since then, pass rusher Nick Bosa has also landed on season-ending IR.

On top of that, wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is yet to play this season, and Jauan Jennings is day-to-day with shoulder and ankle injuries. On the bright side, Demarcus Robinson is back from the three-game suspension he served to start the year.

If that wasn't enough, starting quarterback Brock Purdy suffered a toe injury in the season opener in Week 1 and missed the past two games. Mac Jones filled in for him in Week 3 but is dealing with an MCL injury of his own, putting his availability in doubt.

The good news (for the 49ers) is that Purdy could suit up against the Jaguars, according to NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Josh-Hines-Allen prediction for the Jaguars game vs. the 49ers

Josh Hines-Allen has only registered 0.5 sacks this season, but it isn't for a lack of effort. The 2019 first-round pick has routinely wreck havoc at the line of scrimmage and is a reason the Jacksonville defense has been as dominant the past three games.

As John Shipley of Sports Illustrated noted, only seven edge rushers have a better pressure rate than Hines-Allen.

Against the 49ers, expect the two-time Pro bowl nod to register three sacks, one forced fumble, and one pass deflection.
