All eyes will be on the Jacksonville Jaguars as they prepare to take on the Buffalo Bills during Wild Card Weekend. Despite being higher seeded, the Jags are — as usual — not being given credit for how good they are, and are baffingly seen as the underdogs in this match.

Nevermind that the Jacksonville is on a hot streak and hasn't lost a game in weeks. Nevermind that it has a better record. Nevermind that the Jags won their division, and the Bills didn't. The NFL is going to NFL, and that means overlooking Jacksonville as a serious contender.

Yet the simple reality is, the Jaguars have a very good shot at winning on Sunday. In addition to all the aforementioned reasons, the Jags also have home-field advantage, giving them an added edge to beat Buffalo. And it could end up being the first step towards making franchise history.

One bold prediction just raised the stakes for Jaguars vs. Bills in a big way

Obviously, there's still a long way to go between Wild Card Weekend and the Super Bowl. But according to NFL analyst Ross Tucker, it's the Jaguars-Bills game that will determine who represents the AFC in the big game.

"I believe the winner of this game is going to the Super Bowl," he said. "Call it a gut — call it a hunch, I think the winner of Bills-Jags is going to go to the Super Bowl. And on some level, I think it's a shame that they have to play against each other in this first round. Because this feels to me like an AFC championship game."

This very well could be true; after all, there are only two, maybe three teams aside from the Bills that could pose any kind of threat to Jacksonville. The New England Patriots don't have much to recommend them as a legitimate team, considering they excelled at... well, beating absolutely terrible teams in the regular season.

Bigger threats would be the Denver Broncos and the Houston Texans, particularly the Texans, as there is an emotional component between the two rivals. Houston is also the team responsible for Jacksonville's last loss, way back in Week 10.

But the Jaguars also defeated both Denver and Houston. That doesn't guarantee a win in the postseason, of course, but it does give some credence to the idea that, if the Jags beat the Bills, they could easily end up Super Bowl-bound.

And despite the constant disrespect, Jacksonville is a legitimate team. Trevor Lawrence and the offense have been getting a lot of attention, and rightly so, but beyond the quarterback position, this is a well-rounded team. They have the best run defense in the NFL, and the defense also been fantastic at creating turnovers.

Then there's Cam Little, who, of course, needs no explanation. What does all of this mean for the Jaguars-Bills game? Essentially, yes, Buffalo has Josh Allen, who is an elite quarterback. But the Bills have been struggling all season, and Allen has basically dragged his team to the playoffs completely on his own.

The Jaguars, meanwhile, are excelling at complementary football, with every single unit playing at their best in the past eight weeks. There's simply no comparison, and there's no reason to believe the Jags couldn't go all the way this year.
