The Jacksonville Jaguars will have a few things going in their favor when they play the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14. For starters, the game will be at EverBank Stadium, a venue where Indy hasn't won in more than 10 years.

Moreover, safety Eric Murray should be available after missing the past four games. Similarly, wide receiver Parker Washington and defensive Travon Walker are trending toward playing. Having both for the bout would be huge. On the other hand, the weather could play a huge role in the outcome.

The good news is that Liam Coen and the Jaguars appear to be prepared for it.

It may rain when the Jaguars face the Colts at EverBank Stadium

NFLWeather forecasts a temperature of 63 degrees Fahrenheit and projects a 22 percent chance of precipitation. This means that there's a chance, albeit not a high one, of rain. Nevertheless, Liam Coen told the local media Friday that the team focused on the fundamentals of playing under those conditions ahead of the Colts game. Here's the skinny.

"Yeah, we definitely did a good amount of it yesterday. I thought Trevor, in Indy, specifically," Coen responded when asked if the team practiced with wet footballs (6:22 mark). I know he's able to throw in the wet, in the weather, and all that stuff. It's more just what we talked about was a heightened sense of fundamentals, technique, playing underneath yourselves, coming to balance, long stride, short stride, when we're coming to make a tackle, when you're at the second level, how fundamental can you be?"

Coen continued, "Because sometimes you get lost and lose your footing, or whatever it is. You see it last night in some of the Dallas game on the turf. But it's just one of those things that we just try to preach, not as much about this, and the wet ball is more the fundamentals and the heightened sense of awareness that ball security is the kicking game, all those kind of things."

Again, it's not a given that it will rain, but it's great to hear that Coen is getting the team ready for all the possible scenarios.

The Jaguars will ask Trevor Lawrence to manage the game

If it rains, the Jaguars could lean on the backfield tandem of Travis Etienne and Bhayshul Tuten. But regardless of the weather, expect Trevor Lawrence to manage the game and get the ball to wide receiver Jakobi Meyers and tight end Brenton Strange. On top of that, Brian Thomas Jr. could see a bigger workload if Parker Washington ultimately sits this one out.

On defense, Jacksonville will need to focus on stopping running back Jonathan Taylor and dare Daniel Jones to beat them with his arm. This could be a recipe for disaster when you take into account that the Colts quarterback is playing through a broken leg.

In the end, the Jaguars have no excuse not to beat the Colts at home even if it rains, so anything short of a win will not be acceptable.
