With the November 10 trade deadline inching closer, Brian Thomas Jr. has been at the center of speculation even though the Jacksonville Jaguars have stated countless times that they're not interested in dealing him. That said, things have changed following his benching in the 34-31 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 6.

Thomas has seen a drop-off in playing time as the year progressed because he's once again dealing with drops, a recurrent issue dating back to last year. Couple that with the fact that Travis Hunter had a strong showing at receiver, and it's easy to see the Jags changing their stance and finally deciding to put Thomas on the trade block.

If Jacksonville is indeed open to trading Thomas, he'll have no shortage of suitors, but one team in particular could emerge as the favorite to land him based on a recent scoop.

The LA Rams could be the ideal trade destination for Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr.

Dan Graziano of ESPN reveals that the Los Angeles Rams could trade for receiver help to get their season back on track, noting that Davante Adams is dealing with a hamstring injury and is expected to sit out up to 10 weeks.

"I do not expect the Rams to go down without a fight, and my understanding is that they will at least explore the possibility of trading for a wide receiver in the wake of Davante Adam's hamstring injury, which is expected to sideline him six to 10 weeks," Graziano wrote.

Keep in mind that Los Angeles has been seen as a potential landing spot for Thomas, but it was uncertain whether it could actually trade for help at receiver. Graziano's scoop confirms that it may.

The issue is that the Rams already gave up their first-round selection in 2027 when they traded for Myles Garrett in the offseason. Similarly, they're without their third-round selection next year after acquiring cornerback Trent McDuffie.

That said, the Rams still have their second-round selection, and general manager Les Snead hasn't been afraid in the past to trade for immediate help. That would make Los Angeles a compelling trade destination for Thomas.

Sure, Graziano didn't name Thomas as Los Angeles' top option, but he'll most definitely be the best receiver on the trade block if available. Other alternatives would include Keenan Allen, Jerry Jeudy, or Marquise Brown. All of them are reliable players, but none of them have as much upside as Thomas, who reeled in 82 receptions for 1,282 yards with 10 touchdowns as a rookie.

Granted, Thomas would be available because he's underperformed, but you can bet a team will be intrigued enough to try to take a flyer on him with the expectation that he returns to the level he reached as a rookie.

The Rams may reach out to the Jaguars about Brian Thomas Jr. but won't be the only team

Draft picks notwithstanding, the Los Angeles Rams would be an ideal landing spot for Brian Thomas Jr. because the Jaguars won't have to face him the rest of the season or in the playoffs since they play in different conferences.

Of course, Jacksonville might only be open to trading Thomas to the Rams in exchange for a second-round. That seems like a steep price to pay for a player who just got benched, but it may be reasonable when you take into account his upside and the interest he'll draw if he's available.

Of course, teams like the Washington Commanders could also make a desperate bid to try to keep their season afloat. Conversely, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Las Vegas Raiders, or the Buffalo Bills may make an offer too good to pass up if they believe Thomas is their missing piece.

Keep in mind that the Jaguars have gotten plenty of calls about Brian Thomas Jr., so they should have their fair share of options if they decide to move on from him.
