All day long, before the 2025 NFL Draft was set to kick off, rumors started swirling of something big that could be happening amongst the top five picks, and little did we know, the Jacksonville Jaguars would be heavily involved until the bitter end.

And, as the first round grew nearer and nearer, it was finally all but confirmed: the Cleveland Browns were ready and willing to trade out of the second overall pick. It was just a matter of which team would be the one coming up in the deal.

With under an hour before the draft opened up, reports started surfacing of the Browns being "open for business" at no. 2 overall, as NFL insider Ian Rapoport said on-air.

But, to take it even further, we then saw this report which suggested it was the Jaguars who were the team to be eyeing a trade up with Cleveland.

First-year general manager James Gladstone isn't messing around. Apparently, he's ready to make his presence known early on -- and in a massive way.

The Jaguars are reportedly trying to trade up for Travis Hunter

Why would the Browns trade back, you ask? That's a wonderful question, because everybody and their brother knows who the pick is.

It's Travis Hunter.

And, the Jaguars are presumably going up to get him as stated in the previous report.

As Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer noted in that report, the Browns would be trading back and going offensive line at no. 5 rather than taking this year's "unicorn" as many are calling Hunter.

The Jaguars landing Hunter would be incredible news for this fan base. It would be quite the statement from Gladstone, too. For once, this fan base would have legitimate hope. This franchise needed a general manager like Gladstone, and if he pulled this off, look out.

The sky is the limit if this is what we're seeing in Year 1.
