Tim Jones leads the list of players the Jaguars signed to future/reserve contracts

These players the Jags signed were part of the practice squad in 2025. Some of them will most likely get cut as the year progresses. Others will once again land in the practice squad, and a few others could end up earning a roster spot. Of the bunch, the most notable name is probably Tim Jones.

An undrafted free agent in 2021, Jones spent his rookie season in the practice squad. He made the initial 53-man roster each of the next three years and signed with the Minnesota Vikings last offseason.

However, the former Southern Miss Golden Eagle was released before the opener and spent a bit of time before returning to the Jacksonville practice squad. While he's never been a dynamic pass catcher, he's a superb blocker and a key contributor on special teams.

On the other hand, Carter Bradley will give the Jags an extra arm throughout offseason activities. Last year, they signed undrafted free agent Seth Henigan but ended up releasing him and bringing in Bradley to replace him in the practice squad.

An undrafted free agent himself, the former South Alabama Jaguar spent his rookie year with the Las Vegas Raiders. He'll probably face competition in the offseason if the Jags add another signal-caller in the draft or in the aftermath.

Another familiar name is Austin Trammell. The former Rice Owl was an undrafted free agent in 2021. He played for the Atlanta Falcons and the Los Angeles Rams before joining the Jags in the 2024 offseason. He's been on and off the practice squad since then.

The rest of the players on the list either signed with Jacksonville as undrafted rookies in 2025 or have spent time with several teams throughout their NFL careers.

Ultimatelly, many of these signings may not move the needle, but that doesn't make them any less important. The Jags will want to build off of their impressive and having familiarity across the roster will help. It doesn't hurt that some of these returning players could turn out to be solid depth pieces.
