The Jacksonville Jaguars manhandled the Tennessee Titans in Week 13. Next, they'll take on the Indianapolis Colts at EverBank Stadium. Ahead of the game, they're making a couple roster moves.

Surprisingly, the Jags didn't activate safety Eric Murray from Injured Reserve, so they could be making more moves in the upcoming days.

The Jaguars sign Matt Dickerson, bring back Austin Trammell to the practice squad

The Jags announced that they signed defensive tackle Matt Dickerson to the active roster from the practice squad. On top of that, they signed wide receiver Austin Trammell to the practice squad.

The team originally added Dickerson to the practice squad before the regular season. They promoted him three times on Game Day, which is the maximum number of times clubs are allowed. Perhaps the prospect of another team poaching him prompted Jacksonville to sign him to the roster.

An undrafted free agent in 2018, Dickerson has spent time with the Tennessee Titans, the Atlanta Falcons, the Miami Dolphins, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Kansas City Chiefs. For his career, he's appeared in 43 games and logged 44 total tackles.

With the Jags, Dickerson has logged 32 defensive snaps, while registering one total pressure and two total tackles.

Meanwhile, Austin Trammell is back in the practice squad after spending five games on the active roster. He signed with Jacksonville last year and spent most of the 2024 season in the practice squad.

Once again, Trammell landed in the practice squad this year and was signed to the active roster before the Jags played the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 9. With Brian Thomas Jr. returning from an ankle sprain, there was no longer room for him in the active roster for the former Rice Owl, so they released him after the win over the Titans. That said, they valued him highly enough that they brought him back to the practice squad.

The Jaguars have yet to activate Eric Murray from IR

Given that the Jaguars activated Eric Murray's 21-day window to participate in practice, it seemed like they were going to add him back to the active roster when they cut Austin Trammell, but that wasn't the case.

That means that Jacksonville could make another move to free up a roster spot for Murray. Having said that, the coaching staff still has a bit of time before they activate him. His 21-day window will expire on Nov. 26, so the Jags can afford to wait until Week 15.

Either way, the Jaguars must be confident Murray is close to being back at full strength. Otherwise, they might not have activated his window, so expect more moves in the upcoming days to pave the way for his return.
