The Jacskonville Jaguars will have a wide array of options when they're on the clock with the fifth overall pick in the 2025 draft. Just recently, Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Media raised an eye when he suggested the Jags roll with Javon Walker. While a closer look shows that it would most definitely make sense, they showed more interest in one of his former teammates at Georgia's Pro Day.
Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network reports that a Jaguars contingent met with defensive tackle Warren Brinson at the Georgia Pro Day. The exchange didn't probably get many headlines because the former Bulldog isn't nearly as accomplished as Walker, who's projected to go in the first round.
Meanwhile, Brinson is seen as a Day 3 prospect, one who will need to hone his skills to succeed in the NFL. According to Keith Sanchez of The Draft Network, he has the right mix of athleticism and hand usage to beat offensive linemen at the line of scrimmage. However, he needs to work on his stance and improve his upper-body strength.
Overall, Sanchez thinks that Brinson is a prospect with upside due to his athleticism at defensive tackle, noting that he'll need to land in the right scheme to find success in the pros.

The Jaguars can draft Warren Brinson whether they pick Jalon Walker
Having beefed up the offensive line in free agency, the Jacksonville Jaguars can turn their attention to the defensive trenches in the 2025 NFL draft. That's made Mason Graham the favorite to hear his name called when they're on the clock at No. 5. Most fans wouldn't complain. After all, the former Michigan Wolverine could join a rotation that includes Maason Smith and Arik Armstead and get an increased workload as he progresses.
On the other hand, drafting Jalon Walker wouldn't be that farfetched either even though he isn't projected to go in the top 10 outside of Daniel Jeremiah's mock. The Jaguars have a pair of talented edge rushers in Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen but need a No. 3 to round out their rotation. The former Georgia Bulldog would fit like a glove in Duval.
But regardless of who gets the nod at No. 5, the Jags could easily take Warren Brinson on Day 3. Graham or Walker would bolster their defensive front, and Brinson would be a depth selection. This is doable when you consider that Jacksonville has two picks in the sixth round. Of course, that wouldn't be great news for either DaVon Hamilton or Jordan Jefferson. The former was a non-factor last year, and the latter was at the bottom of the depth chart.
Then again, Jefferson could get the nod over Hamilton because he's got more upside at this stage of his career.
In the end, though, just because the Jaguars showed interest in Warren Brinson doesn't mean that they'll draft him, but there will certainly be room for him if they want to.
