The Jacksonville Jaguars entered Week 15 with a rare clean bill of health. Unfortunately, they weren't able to stay healthy for too long. During the 48-20 win over the New York Jets, they lost running back Bhayshul Tuten and linebacker Jack Kiser to injuries.

Tuten will sit out a few weeks after undergoing finger surgery, while Kiser landed on Injured Reserve. On top of that, Hines-Allen made an appearance on their initial injury report ahead of the Denver Broncos game.

Josh Hines-Allen didn't participate in practice for the Jacksonville Jaguars

Josh Hines-Allen wasn't available Wednesday and popped up on the injury report with a shoulder injury and illness. This doesn't come as a surprise when you consider that Michael DiRocco of ESPN had previously reported that the two-time Pro Bowl absence missed practice. Similarly, defensive end Danny Striggow also missed practice with an ankle injury.

To nobody's surprise, Bhayshul Tuten was a non-participant as well. After undergoing surgery, he's expected to miss three weeks and return until the playoffs. Meanwhile, fellow rookie Jalen McLeod got the limited designation after having his 21-day window to practice open.

Aside from McLeod, offensive guard Ezra Cleveland was listed as limited. On the other hand, offensive lineman Walker Little (concussion) and defensive tackle Arik Armstead (hand) also popped up on the injury report, but both of them practiced in full.

For now, Josh Hines-Allen's absence shouldn't worry the Jaguars

Josh Hines-Allen didn't appear to be hurt during the win over the Jets, and it's possible that he might have practiced even with the shoulder injury had he not had the illness. From an outside perspective, we'll have a better idea of how healthy (or not) the seventh-year pro is Thursday and Friday.

Either way, the Jaguars cannot afford to be without him for an extended period of time. After all, he's played at an absurdly high level in recent weeks after a slow start to the season. If the former Kentucky Wildcat misses time, though, the Jaguars will need to lean on a combination of Danny Striggow, B.J. Green II, and Emmanuel Ogbah to replace him opposite Travon Walker.

Then again, this could become a bit challenging when you take into account that Striggow is also hurt. If both of them sit out the Broncos game, the Jaguars may have trouble getting after the quarterback.

Again, it's hard to tell whether Josh Hines-Allen's injury is serious. Maybe it's not, but just to err on the side of caution, the Jaguars should strongly consider bringing in outside help to fortify the pass rush.
