The Jacksonville Jaguars will have a myriad of choices with the fifth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. They've routinely been linked to defensive tackle Mason Graham, but they could also address a glaring need with either wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, or cornerback Will Johnson. That said, Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus has the Jags going in a completely different direction in his latest mock.
Sikkema has Jacksonville taking offensive tackle Armand Membou at No. 5, pointing out that the former Mizzou Tiger scored well in the NFL Scouting Combine and could be the long-term answer at the position.
"Though offensive tackle might not be the Jaguars' most pressing need, their new regime is much more likely to take a long-term approach in the 2025 NFL Draft. New general manager James Gladstone talked about emphasizing talent and potential in the form of intangibles and athletic ability. Membou showed up at the combine at 332 pounds with long enough arms and ran a 4.91-second 40-yard dash with good jumping scores. I can envision Jacksonville investing in the trenches with Membou as the team's top tackle prospect."
There's no doubt that Membou is a promising prospect. A two-year starter at right tackle, he's got the quickness and strength you want at the position. Granted, his hand usage and overall technique could use some work, but Sikkema is far from the only analysts that believes he could be the first offensive lineman off the board in May. Eric Edholm of NFL Media also thinks that his superb outing at the combine solidified his place as the top prospect at the position.
Currently, Anton Harrison is the starter at right tackle in Jacksonville, so Membou could either redshirt his rookie season or move to guard. Another possibility would be to move Harrison to the left side to pave the way for Membou. Then again, that would make Walker Little the odd man out. This doesn't make much sense when you take into account that he just signed a three-year deal worth $45 million and did a superb job of protecting Trevor Lawrence.

It doesn't make for the Jaguars to draft Armand Membou at No. 5
The Jacksonville Jaguars entered the offseason with several needs but offensive tackle isn't one of them with Walker Little and Anton Harrison entrenched on the edges. Sure, they could use depth at the position even though Cole Van Lanen held his own when he was pressed into action last year.
Using a mid-round pick in someone like Marcus Mbow would most definitely make sense, but drafting Armand Mombou at No. 5 feels excessive.
This is especially true when you take into account that the Jags could address virtually any of their top needs in the first round. Will Johnson would give them a lockdown cornerback opposite Tyson Campbell. Mason Graham could wreak havoc next to Maason Smith in the interior trenches, or Tetairoa McMillan would round out Trevor Lawrence's arsenal of weapons.
Meanwhile, Mombou would give the Jags enviable depth at offensive tackle, but wouldn't address any of their top issues this offseason. In any other year, it would probably make sense, but not this one.
The bottom line is that Armand Membou is a fine player who could help several clubs who are in dire need of a starting offensive tackle. Not the Jaguars, though, so he's a hard pass at No. 5.
