Jaguars enjoying a rare clean bill of health vs. the Broncos in Week 2

The Jacksonville Jaguars had no trouble putting the Cleveland Browns in the season opener, easily cruising to a 34-10 win. However, things will get substantially tougher when they face off against the Denver Broncos in Week 2.

Even though the Broncos are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, they're simply too talented not to get back on track. Moreover, Denver is known for its slow starts under head coach Sean Payton, so the Jags could have their hands full in Week 2.

The good news is that Jacksonville will go into the game with a rare clean bill of health.

The Jaguars didn't list a single player on the final Week 2 injury report vs. the Broncos

The Jaguars posted their final injury report for the Broncos game. No player earned a designation despite the fact that offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen (knee), running back LeQuint Allen Jr. (hip), wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (shoulder), Jakobi Meyers (thumb), and Christian Braswell (knee) popped up on the report at some point during the week ahead of the contest.

Then again, the news isn't necessarily surprising when you take into account that all rostered players participated in Friday's practice, according to Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union.

On the Broncos sideline, though, wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. has already been ruled out, and running back RJ Harvey is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury after not practicing Wednesday and being limited the next two days.

Speaking of Harvey, the Jags wanted to draft him in 2025, but Denver swooped in and took him.

The Jaguars have a slight edge vs. the Broncos despite being the visiting team

The Broncos will be the home team for Week 2, meaning that the Jaguars will have to travel to Mile High. Then again, Denver is only a 2.5-point favorite in spite of having the home-field advantage, so the Jags could most definitely pull off the upset. In fact, they have several things going in their favor.

Tevor Lawrence is one of the hottest, if not the hottest, quarterbacks in the NFL right now. Dating back to Week 9 of the 2025 season, Steezy Trev has logged 2,412 yards with 24 passing touchdowns and just six interceptions. On top of that, he's rushed for five touchdowns in that span.

In that stretch, Lawrence shredded the Denver secondary, completing 63.9 percent of his throws for 279 yards with three touchdowns in Week 15. Nothing is stopping him from having a similar outing this time around. In fact, No. 16's current supporting cast is much better than the one he had last year. Similarly, the running game and the defense have also improved.

When you add it all up, everything is set for the Jaguars to come out of Empower Field with their second win of the season. Having a clean bill of health will only increase their chances.
