After making the playoffs and winning the division in 2025, the Jacksonville Jaguars proved in Week that they're not a one-year wonder, easily beating the Cleveland Browns 34-10. They got off to a strong start and didn't take their foot off the pedal until they built a substantial lead early in the fourth quarter. Next, Jacksonville will face the Denver Broncos, a team that reached the AFC Championship in 2025.
The Broncos are coming off an underwhelming 31-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but it's too early in the season to stick a fork in them. Heck, they've shown a penchant, under head coach Sean Payton, to get off to a slow start but finish the year strong. 2026 probably won't be any different, so the Jags cannot afford to take their interdivision foe lightly.
With this in mind, here are the early odds for the Jaguars' Week 2 game against Denver.
Odds for the Jaguars vs. the Broncos in Week 2
Last year, when the Jags faced Denver, they were the underdog. That's the case again this time around even though they're coming off a win and the Broncos just lost.
Jacksonville is a 2.5-point underdog with a moneyline of +120 in Week 2, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. Bet $100 on them and win $120 if they come out on top. The Broncos' moneyline sits at -155. To win $100, you need to place a wager of $155.

One day after Jacksonville trounced the Browns, head coach Liam Coen met with the local media. He stated that he was pleased with the team's overall effort in Week 1, noting that there's room for improvement.
"Yeah, I think that the guys came out and tried to do what we asked them to do in terms of starting fast, played some complementary football, which I also was harping on, taking advantage of, obviously, the opportunities that we had with some of the turnovers," Coen told reporters. "Was it perfect? No, by any means. But a lot to clean up and coach off of. Some technique and a couple things that we need to continue to work on and coach on.
Coen continued, "But I was pleased with their energy, the way that they executed some situations, and jumped out to a fast start, which is something that we've really been harping on. I think they played great."
The truth is that the Jags showed in all three phases of the game. That said, they can cut down on the number of penalties, as Liam Coen said. They had four against Cleveland, which isn't a concerning amount, but still a bit high to win close games, possibly like the one in Week 2.

Bold Trevor Lawrence prediction for the Jaguars vs. the Broncos
Unlike last year, Trevor Lawrence got off to a strong start to 2026, going 18-of-23 for 245 yards and four touchdowns. The only reason he didn't score more touchdowns was that he got pulled off the field, with Nick Mullens going in for mop-up duty.
Denver is a much better team than the Browns. Their defense, in particular, is one of the best in the league, with talent at all three levels of the defense. That said, Lawrence already shredded their defense in 2025 and should do it again in Week 2. After all, he's improved substantially since then, and his supporting cast is much better than last time Jacksonville played the Broncos.
If that wasn't enough, the 2026 Broncos just made history for the wrong reasons after missing a head-turning 28 tackles in the opener.
When you add it all up, it's reasonable to expect Lawrence to score five touchdowns against Denver and keep building his case for MVP honors in 2026.
