The Jacksonville Jaguars were riding a hot streak entering Week 15. They didn't take their foot off the pedal when they welcomed the New York Jets at EverBank Stadium, easily winning 48-20.
Aside from racking up 10 victories for the first time since 2017, their latest win has put the Jags one step closer to a playoff berth. And as early as next week, when they face the Denver Broncos, they can clinch their spot in the postseason.
With the win today, Jacksonville has won five consecutive games and produced their first 10-win season since 2017.

The Jaguars can clinch a playoff spot with a win vs. the Broncos (and some help)
The Jaguars are third in the AFC following the win over the Jets. They're now one game behind the New England Patriots after beating New York. The Houston Texans also took care of business when they defeated the Arizona Cardinals, while the Indianapolis Colts fell to the Seattle Seahawks.
Now, the Jags can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Denver Broncos in Week 16 and a loss by either Houston or the Colts. They currently have a 96 percent chance of getting in.
The Broncos just survived a tough matchup against the Green Bay Packers and remain in control of the top spot in the AFC. Even with a loss to Jacksonville in Week 16, they would still be on top of the conference. However, the Jaguars could supplant New England — they lost to the Buffalo Bills in Week 15 — as the No. 2 team.
It's worth noting that even if the Jags clinch a playoff spot in Week 16, the division would still be up for grabs, as the Texans are 9-7 and currently hold the No. 7 spot. In fact, the AFC South champion may not be decided until the season finale.

The Jaguars face a must-win matchup vs. the Broncos in Week 16
The Jaguars have now won five in a row and will be incentivized to trounce the Denver Broncos in Week 16. They could still make the playoffs with a loss, but it would allow Houston to come from behind and potentially make a run at the AFC South.
Of course, there's a reason Denver is the top team in the conference. Its defense is one of the five best in the NFL, and the offense, as inconsistent as it has been at times this season, could give the Jacksonville defense fits.
Moreover, the Broncos last lost a game in Week 3. You don't win 11 in a row by sheer luck. Sean Payton has his team firing on all cylinders and will give the Jags their toughest test yet in the second half of the season.
Dating back to Week 10 or 11, Tony Boselli has called every game on Jacksonville's schedule the most important in franchise history in what's become somewhat of a bit. Then again, the Jaguars have treated every matchup as such and will have to do the same when they fly to Mile High knowing what's at stake.
