The Jacksonville Jaguars took care of business in Week 15, easily cruising to a 48-20 win over the New York Jets. Following the dominant outing, they're now 10-4 and in a great position to make the playoffs.
Head coach Liam Coen deserves plenty of praise for having his team ready and focused. This is noteworthy because the Jags have been playing up to their talent during their hot streak. It was no different against the Jets, with several players delivering clutch performances throughout the game. Of course, a handful of them stood out more, while a few of them failed to deliver.
With this in mind, here are three winners and losers from the dominant win over the New York.
Winner: Jakobi Meyers, Jaguars receiver
You could group all Jaguars receivers on this entry, and nobody would bat an eye. Parker Washington came down with a 33-yard gain in the second quarter. Brian Thomas Jr., for his part, had a handful of catches that moved the chains. But it was Jakobi Meyers the one who truly shone the most, hauling in five catches for 71 yards.
Once again, Meyers is showing that he deserves a contract extension, and it's abundantly clear that the Jags need to make an aggressive effort to lock him up.
Loser: Dyami Brown, Jaguars receiver
Not everything was sunshine and flowers for Jacksonville. After a hot start to the season, Dyami Brown has seen his role diminished and probably won't see an uptick in playing time anytime soon after his head-scratching blunder.
Brown got a few snaps when the game was out of reach. Instead of making the most of them, he had a costly fumble. The silver lining is that once the Jets got the ball back, linebacker Ventrell Miller picked up Brady Cook in the end zone. That said, it doesn't make Brown's turnover sting any less.
Winner: Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars quarterback
What a difference a month makes. In early November, Trevor Lawrence was under lots of scrutiny because he hadn't made enough progress under Liam Coen. However, he's looked much better since the BYE, and his improved play is one of the big reasons the Jaguars have won five in a row.

Although the Jets didn't present much of a challenge, Lawrence did what any good quarterback would: Torch them. No. 16 totaled over 300 yards and six total touchdowns. With yet another lights-out performance, he's quickly shutting down speculation about his future in Jacksonville.
Loser: Brian Thomas Jr., Jaguars receiver
You could make the case that we're grasping at straws here, and you would be kind of right. After all, Brian Thomas Jr. reeled in four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown, the second one this season. But he was also responsible for a few moments that prevented the Jags from building an even bigger lead.
Y'all know what time it is.

Near the end of the first half on second-and-2, Travis Etienne ran for a one-yard gain and came one yard short of reaching the end zone. However, the play was negated because Thomas was flagged for unnecessary roughness. Instead of scoring a touchdown to make it 27-10, Jacksonville had to settle for a field goal.
Later in the game, Thomas could've reeled in a deep pass in the second half but wasn't able to come down with it. Again, it wasn't all bad, but the sophomore wideout left a bit of meat on the bone.
Winner: Travis Etienne, Jaguars running back
As impressive as the wide receiver corps was, Travis Etienne was the talk of the town. Throughout the game, the fifth-year receiver showed just how good a pass catcher he is, reeling in three receptions for a jaw-dropping 73 yards with three touchdowns.

Etienne's ability to catch passes most definitely gave the offense another dimension, and based on how effective he was, expect him to be a bigger part of the passing game moving forward.
