In spite of the interest from other NFL teams for their head-coaching jobs, the Jacksonville Jaguars were able to keep Anthony Campanile and Grant Udinski. However, they still made tweaks to their staff. And more could be coming in the upcoming days.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Baltimore Ravens have put in a request to interview Tyler Tettleton for their wide receivers coach, adding that he was also a candidate for the head-coaching opening at Ohio, his alma mater.

Because Tettleton would be getting a promotion, the Jags cannot block the request and could be at risk of losing Tettleton this offseason.

Who is Jaguars assistant Tyler Tettleton?

Tyler Tettleton has worked his way up the coaching ranks. A quarterback at Ohio, he briefly played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL in 2024 before joining the Oklahoma staff as a graduate assistant.

After three years with the Sooners, Tettleton became a pro personnel intern for the New York Jets in 2018. The following year, he joined the Cleveland Browns as a quality control assistant. He then returned to the collegiate ranks to serve as an offensive analyst at LSU and a pass game coordinator for Ohio in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

It was in 2022 that Tettleton landed in Jacksonville as an assistant before becoming the assistant wide receivers coach one year later. It's telling that he stayed despite the fact that a new regime took over last year. That's generally a good thing, as a head coach normally brings in his own guys. In Liam Coen's case, he kept Tettleton.

So far, the Jaguars haven't lost any assistant in this hiring cycle. That said, they have made a few changes to their staff. They dismissed secondary coach Ron Milus and hired Mathieu Araujo to take his place. They then brougth in Liam Coen's associate Brian Picucci to be the run game coordinator one year after placing a request to hire him as the offensive line coach.

What does Tyler Tettleton's interview with the Ravens mean for the Jaguars?

After ousting John Harbaugh earlier this year, Baltimore hired former Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter as their head coach. He's wasted no time putting together the best possible staff. That he's set his sights on Tyler Tettleton is a show that he's seen as an ascending talent across league circles.

If the Jaguars were to lose Tettleton, and there's a good chance they will, it would most definitely sting, especially because up to this point, it looked like Jacksonville was going to keep the same offensive staff from the year prior for the first time in Trevor Lawrence's career. The good news is that wide receivers coach Edgar Bennet is still around, so there still will be continuity.

Ultimately, the Jaguars would surely like to keep Tyler Tettleton, but the one downside of having so much success in 2025 was that other teams were going to try to poach some of the pieces that made it possible.
