Although left tackle Cole Van Lanen didn't suit up, the Jacksonville Jaguars entered the Wild Card game against the Buffalo Bills with a relatively bill clean of health. However, they just suffered an injury that surely made them sweat a bit.
Late in the first quarter, Parker Washington left the game to get tested for a concussion. However, he eventually got back in the second quarter. It's worth noting that Brian Thomas Jr. also left the season finale against the Tennessee Titans but returned.

Jaguars WR Parker Washington left with a concussion
During Parker Wasington's absence, the Jaguars leaned on the trio of Brenton Strange, Brian Thomas Jr., and Jakobi Meyers to put points on the scoreboard.
On a related note, Bills quarterback Josh Allen was also evaluated for a concussion but was eventually back.
When Washington left, the Jaguars were trailing 0-3. Trevor Lawrence threw an interception, but the defense managed to limit the Buffalo offense to just a field goal. The good news is that once the Jags managed to overcome Washington's brief absence.
Following the Buffalo field goal, the Jacksonville offense put together a seven-play, 65-yard drive that ended with Lawrence connecting with Thomas for a three-yard touchdown pass, putting the Jags ahead 7-3. But wait, there's more!

After scoring, the Jaguars were able to get the ball back on a fumble return, so they were seemingly in control of the game without Washington. Now that he's back, the offense will get a massive boost.

Parker Washington has become a key contributor for the Jaguars
A sixth-round pick in 2023, Washington mostly got playing time when Christian Kirk wasn't available. However, he did enough in 2024 to earn a bigger role. And after making a strong impression in training camp, the former Penn State Nittany Lion became a staple of the Jacksonville offense, hauling in a career-high 58 receptions for 847 yards with five touchdowns.
Following his breakout season, Washington has probably secured a featured role on the Jacksonville offense next season. That's great for a Jaguars team that will get two-way star Travis Hunter back and has already locked up Jakobi Meyers with a three-year deal worth $60 million
With Parker Washington back in the fold, the Jaguars should feel good about their chances against Buffalo. But regardless of how the game ends, the future looks bright.
