After beating the Carolina Panthers in the season opener, the Jacksonville Jaguars will next face the Cincinnati Bengals. They're currently a 3.5-point underdog, but the prospect of starting 2-0 for the first time since 2018 — they beat the New England Patriots and the New York Giants to start the season — could propel them to a win. Of course, it won't be a walk in the park.

Although the weather will not be a factor, Jacksonville will be the visiting team, so the Bengals will have an edge by virtue of being the home team. Moreover, they're a much better team than Carolina. Granted, they struggled to dispose of the Cleveland Browns in Week 1, but as long as they have a healthy Joe Burrow behind center, they'll have the chance.

The good news is that the Jags aren't devoid of talent. Travis Etienne will be looking to post his second straight 100-yard game after going off against the Panthers. On the other hand, Trevor Lawrence will be looking to improve after an unremarkable outing in the opener. As a matter of fact, the Jags will need him to play better if they want to pull off the upset.

Another thing the Jaguars have going for them is their defense. Even though they logged just one sack, they rattled Bryce Young throughout the game, relentlessly bringing in the heat. If they can do the same against Burrown, their odds of winning will go up.

But wait, there's more! Linebacker Foyesade Oluokun was named the AFC player of the week after registering an interception off a deflected pass and forcing a fumble. Similarly, the Jaguars have a trio of cornerbacks in Travis Hunter, Jourdan Lewis, and Tyson Campbell that match up favorably against the duo of Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase.

All things considered, this figures to be an intriguing matchup, and here's how you can either watch it or listen to it.

Jaguars vs. Bengals details for Week 2:

Kickoff time: 1:00 p.m. ET
Location: Paycor Stadium
All-Time record: The Jaguars have faced the Bengals 25 times and lead the series 13-12

When these two teams met in 2023, the Jaguars were in the driver's seat to make the playoffs. However, an injury (one of the many) Trevor Lawrence suffered in that game ultimately prevented them from qualifying for a playoff spot. You could even make the case that it was the beginning of what turned out to be a massive collapse.

Before 2023, the Jags faced the Bengals in 2021. That turned out to be an infamous game not only because DJ Chark Jr. broke his foot, but also because Urban Meyer didn't fly with the team and was caught getting frisky with a woman who wasn't his wife Shelley.

Heading into their next matchup, Rich Eisen of ESPN said on his show that he guarantees that, unlike Urban Meyer, Liam Coen will fly with the team regardless of the outcome.
