The Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the Houston Texans just before their bye but had enough time to rest and regroup by the time they play the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8. Currently, the Jags are a 7.5-point favorite, but head coach Liam isn't taking the dreaded division foe lightly, making sure that his team is ready to go.
Working in Jacksonville's favor is that the Colts just traded defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and offensive guard Quenton Nelson, so they may not be at full strength. Running back Jonathan Taylor could also be inactive if Indianapolis plans to deal him.
In the end, though, the Jaguars will still have to show up and play if they want to come out on top. And with this in mind, here's what you need to know about the Week 8 divisional bout.
Jaguars injury report vs. the Colts
Although several players popped up on the Jaguars injury report ahead of Week 8, only safety Antonio Johnson was ruled out. No other player had a designation.
With Johnson already ruled out, Rayuan Lane III will most likely get the starting nod next to Eric Murray, but Kaevon Merriweather could get a big role against Indy. On a related note, cornerback Montaric Brown is back after missing Weeks 4 and 6 and barely playing in Week 5. He could replace Jarrian Jones in the boundaries opposite Travis Hunter.
On the Colts sideline, though, cornerback Justin Walley was ruled out, while tight end Andrew Ogletree and linebacker Bryce Boettcher are listed as questionable.
