The Jacksonville Jaguars wrapped up Day 1 of Organized Team Activities. While no contact was allowed, several players were able to stand out.

Granted, there's still a long way to go before the Jags play any meaningful games, but more often than not, a strong showing in OTAs carries over into the regular season. Wide receiver Parker Washington and cornerback Montaric Brown proved as much last year.

With this in mind, here are the biggest risers from Day 1 of Jaguars OTAS.

Biggest riser on Day 1 of Jaguars OTAS: Trevor Lawrence, quarterback

Unlike last year, Trevor Lawrence entered OTAs at full strength and did not have to learn a new system or tweak his footwork. That allowed us to operate with confidence on Day 1. Throughout practice, No. 16 had no trouble finding his receivers.

Granted, Lawrence dealt with no pressure, as players are forbidden from touching the quarterback. Nevertheless, he didn't have to shake off any rust, so all signs point toward him building off his impressive 2025.

Biggest riser on Day 1 of Jaguars OTAS: Ventrell Miller, linebacker

John Shipley of Sports Illustrated shared his observations from Day 1 of Jags OTAs and stated that Ventrell Miller was the standout among defensive players, noting that he showcased his sideline-to-sideline range throughout practice.

Shipley also says that Miller was responsible for plays that ended in either pass breakups or could have been run stops. At this pace, he'll live up to the hype and will make everyone forget about Devin Lloyd.

Biggest riser on Day 1 of Jaguars OTAS: Parker Washington, wide receiver

Brian Thomas Jr. might have stolen the spotlight at Jaguars OTAs, but he was far from the only player who made a strong impression.

John Shipley also wrote on his takeaways from Day 1 of OTAs and made it abundantly clear that no other player had a more productive practice than Parker Washington, pointing out that the longer the Jags wait to extend the fourth-year receiver, the more they'll have to fork out.

Biggest riser on Day 1 of Jaguars OTAS: Caleb Ransaw, safety

After sitting out his rookie season with a leg injury, Caleb Ransaw says he's back at full strength. In fact, Liam Coen sounded effusive about having the second-year safety back in the fold.

Several beat writers dropped clips of Ransaw practicing with no limitations through Day 1 of OTAs. If he can pick up where he left off before he suffered the leg injury in 2025, he should make a strong push for a starting job next season.

Biggest riser on Day 1 of Jaguras OTAs: Brian Thomas Jr., wide receiver

After being the subject of trade rumors for several months, Brian Thomas Jr. was in attendance for Day 1 of OTAs. Following an unremarkable 2025, the Walker, Louisiana native wasted no time showcasing his deep-threat capability.

Based on how Thomas practiced, it looks like he's trying to repay the team's unwavering trust. But wait, there's more! Liam Coen talked about how he wants the third-year receiver to develop a better connection with Trevor Lawrence because the Jags want to dial up more deep shots next season.

If that's not a sign of confidence, what is it then?
