Since the Jacksonville Jaguars made the massive trade to move up and select Travis Hunter, everyone has been raving about what a special player the franchise just added. As everyone knows, Hunter is elite on both sides of the ball, and the goal is for that to continue to be the case in the league. The Jaguars are committed to making it happen.

Before it could happen in the NFL, Hunter had to prove he could do it in college. That’s exactly what he did, dominating for three years, and winning the Heisman during his final collegiate season. That’s why it’s no surprise college coaches had nothing but good things to say about him.

ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg recently spoke with several college football coaches to get their takes on the draft. When it came to Hunter, there was nothing but praise, with one Big 12 coach saying Jacksonville’s coaches will be fighting over which side of the ball gets to use him.

An assistant coach argued that a lot of things make Hunter special, but emphasized that the versatile player has the best ball skills they’ve ever seen.

"Travis is like the rubber-band man. He understands football, knows routes off splits, ball skills are out of this world. His ball skills are the best I've ever seen. His endurance is what's really crazy."

This anonymous assistant explains what makes Travis Hunter so special: his unique physical abilities are paired with a brilliant football mind. Not only can Hunter run all day, but his mind can stay one step ahead of opponents just as his feet can. The marriage of the two gifts is why Jacksonville is confident the young man can play on both sides of the ball.

Of course, it’ll be hard to imagine it happening until Hunter does it, and even then, it will still be unbelievable. However, Travis Hunter made the world believers during his time at Colorado, and he’s on his way to doing the same in Jacksonville.
