The Jacksonville Jaguars had a carousel at kicker until they stumbled upon Cam Little in Round 6 of the 2024 draft. Right off the bat, the former Arkansas Razorback brougth stablity at the position. And during the team's mock game ahead of the preseason opener, he showed that he's picking up where he left off last year.
Michael DiRocco of ESPN reports that Little nailed a 58-yard field goal with room to spare, at the scrimmage, or a mock game, as the team called it. Other beat writers confirmed the play was good around the same time.

Now, Little's leg strength shouldn't come as a surprise. Back in college, he went 7-of-11 in attemps of 50+ yards. His jaw-dropping performance carried over with the Jags, completeted five of six attempts from 50 yards out in 2025. His outing at the mock game proves atha he isn't a one-year wonder.
Heck, this isn't the first time in 2025 that Little makes a jaw-dropping kick. Back in the offseason program, he nailed a 72-yard field goal without breaking a sweat.

Cam Little gives the Jaguars much-needed long-term stability at kicker
Leaving aside that Cam Little can nail his kicks from virtually anywhere on the football field. He's quite accurate, completing 93.1 percent of his attempts as a rookie. Similarly, his 82.8 percent career cmpletion rate was a school record at Arkansas. With him in the fold, the Jacksonville Jaguars won't have to deal with issues at the position, like they did for several years.
In case you forgot, Josh Lambo proved to be a keeper when the Jags signed him in 2017. However, injuries hampered his once promising career, and he was eventually shown the door in 2021. To replace him, the team's brass brought in Matthew Wright, but he proved to be nothing more than a short-term fix.
Looking for ways to upgrade the kicker position, the Jags signed undrafted free agent Andrew Mevis and veteran Ryan Santoso in 2022. Neither proved to be a solution, so the Jags ended up going after James McCourt and later Riley Patterson in the waiver wire before the regular season began.
Patterson ended up getting the nod for the 2022 season but lacked the leg strength, so he was replaced with Brandon McManus the following year. McManus wasn't much of an upgrade, which led the Jags to release him after just once season. The team's brass then tried to sign Wil Lutz in 2024's free agency, but he shunned them. This proved to be a blessing in desguise as they wouldn't have drafted Little if he hadn't stuck around.
The bottom line is that the one position the Jaguars don't have to worry about in 2025 is kicker due to the presence of Cam Little. Together with long-snapper Ross Matiscik and punter Logan Cooke, he gives the Jaguars on of the best special teams cores in the whole NFL.
