Kicker Cam Little delivered for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 20-16 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He turned 21 the same day but wasn't able to celebrate because, well, he had to play. However, he got a friendship bracelet as a birthday present. Based on his comments, it seemed like long snapper Ross Matiscik had come up with it but he's since cleared the air.

A fan caught wind of Little's comments and said on social media that he had asked Matiscik to give his teammate the band as a birthday present.

A different user tagged Matiscik and asked him what had happened. The long snapper said the following "A fan made the friendship bracelet for us. I had no part in making the bracelet but it will be worn proudly. #duuuval has the best fans in the league!!"

Little made two field goals and nailed his two extra-point attempts in the win over the Bucs. He told the local media after the bout that he wasn't going to do anything for his birthday that day but was going to go to Logan the following day.

"We're going to kick out at Logan's tomorrow. I've got some family in town today, so I'm going to hang out with them and kind of just kick back," Little told the media after the win. "Camp broke today, so Imma go back to my house instead of staying at the hotel. Shout out to Marriot downtown, but I think it's time for me to go back to my house."

"But now we're going to go over to Logan tomorrow. Ross actually caught the cobia that Logan's going to grill up. So we're going to have some Kobe and shrimp and have a good time tomorrow. So it'll be a good, good, good fun time," Little said.

Little, a sixth-round pick in this year's draft, has been a revelation for the Jaguars. They've had a revolving door at kicker since 2021 and it looks like he's going to put a stop to it. The former Arkansas Razorback had a strong training camp and is 5-of-6 in the preseason. His only miss was a 62-yarder that had the strength but landed left of the upright because of the win.

The Jaguars are confident enough in Little that they waived Riley Patterson a few days into training camp. So far, he's done enough to validate the decision.

Ross Matiscik, Cam Little (and Logan Cooke) give the Jaguars a strong special teams core

While Cam Little has (rightly) been the talk of the town for his offseason heroics, Matiscik is no slouch. He, along with defensive end Josh Hines-Allen, made the Pro Bowl after the 2023 season, ending a four-year streak without a first-ballot player for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Right off the bat, Little and Matiscik have developed a strong rapport, which is key in field goals and extra points. Add the presence of punter Logan Cooke, who also serves as the holder, and the Jaguars don't have to worry about their special teams core in the foreseeable future.

It's easy to forget just how important special teams are but the Jacksonville Jaguars have made a significant investment to ensure they have one of the best units in the NFL.
