5 absolute standouts who took over Day 4 of Jaguars training camp

The Jacksonville Jaguars just wrapped up their fourth practice of training camp. Having shaken off the rust of their offseason break, their vision is quickly becoming clear. Execution and technique have taken center stage, and the results were evident on Day 4.

Competition is quickly ramping up, with both sides of the ball exchanging blows and making plays. The intensity will only increase when the Jags put pads on in the next practice. But for the time being, here are their standouts from Day 4.

Travis Hunter, Jaguars two-way player

Travis Hunter was back for the beginning of training camp after spending the offseason recovering from a knee injury. He got off to a somewhat quiet start but flipped a switch on Day 4, registering one interception and hauling in two long passes.

Just before he suffered the aforementioned knee injury in 2025, the former Heisman Trophy winner was beginning to show flashes of his game-changing capability. He's quickly picking up where he left off. For their part, the Jags look brilliant for not giving up on the two-way.

Parker Washington, Jaguars receiver

Travis Hunter wasn't the only Jaguars receiver who made plays on Day 4. Parker Washington also came up with a jaw-dropping catch.

Keep in mind that this is far from the only play Washington has made in camp. If anything, he's been one of the team's most consistent performers throughout camp. It's just that his reception stood out the most.

One of the biggest storylines is whether/when Jacksonville will extend Washington. He's leaving no doubt that he deserves a big raise.

B.J Green II, Jaguars defensive end

Just recently, Josh Hines-Allen gave fellow defensive end B.J. Green II his ringing endorsement. Green has wasted no time proving why the praise was deserved. Mia O'Brien of ESPN Radio reports that the sophomore pass rusher had two sacks, one against center Robert Hainsey and another when he faced tight end Brenton Strange.

This is noteworthy because Green wasn't going against the second or third team but the first. If he can keep posting performances like the one on Day 4, he could end up carving out a substantial role in the Jacksonville pass rush.

Nick Mullens, Jaguars quarterback

While Trevor Lawrence has shown substantial progress since the end of 2025, quarterback remains a concern because there are questions about whether backup Nick Mullens can come through if pressed into action. On Day 4, he responded.

Mullens showed accuracy, going 8-of-13, according to Mia O'Brien. He connected with tight end Quintin Morris for a wide-open catch that he took to the end zone. Rookies Josh Cameron and CJ Williams also caught passes from him.

Next, Mullens will need to build off his strong Day 4 outing. If he does, he'll completely quell concerns about the backup quarterback position.

CJ Williams, Jaguars receiver

Liam Coen has made it clear that the Jaguars are chasing consistency after going 13-4 last year. That will, in turn, lead to sustained success (and more wins. Based on his comments, he should be pleased with rookie CJ Williams.

The rookie out of Stanford had yet another encouraging outing, catching three passes on Day 4, one of them against Travis Hunter in coverage. John Shipley of Sports Illustrated says that was the only rep Hunter lost in the whole day.

Quietly, CJ Williams is making it impossible for the Jags not to give him a role next season.
