The Jacksonville Jaguars were among the teams with the most roster spots available after the NFL Draft, so it wasn't particularly shocking to see them sign 20 undrafted free agents in the aftermath.
Most of these undrafted rookies are long shots to make the team, but a few of them could sneak their way on to the 53-man roster. These four in particular have the best shot.
Jabbar Muhammad, cornerback
The Jaguars signed Jourdan Lewis in free agency and later drafted Travis Hunter second overall. However, they could've (and probably should have) taken another cornerback in the draft, especially when you take into account that Hunter may not play two ways full-time. Then again, maybe they didn't need to because they managed to lock up Jabbar Muhammad.
During the draft process, Muhammad was projected to go in Round 4, but somehow didn't get drafted. It wasn't because of a lack of talent, though. He lacks top speed and ideal size to thrive in the NFL, but has the quickness and ball skills to develop into a solid depth piece.
Perhaps the former Oregon Duck could challenge either Montaric Brown or sophomore DeAntre Prince for a roster spot. The former got significant playing time last year but is inconsistent. The latter didn't do much of note and barely saw the field a rookie.
Eli Pancol, Duke wide receiver
Releasing Gabe Davis left a void at wide receiver. Travis Hunter, Dyami Brown, and Brian Thomas Jr. will be the top 3 receivers in 2025. Parker Washington is probably No. 4 on the depth chart. That leaves one or two spots available. Eli Pancol could seize one of them.
Already, Pancol is making a strong impression, making the most acrobatic play on Day 2 of rookie minicamp, according to Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL. He certainly has the traits to excel in the NFL. At 6'1", the former Duke standout ran the 40-yard dash in 4.33 seconds and a three-cone drill in 6.88 seconds. The speed is certainly there. It will be up to him to showcase it on the football field.
Danny Striggow, Minnesota edge rusher
The Jaguars signed Emmanuel Ogbah after the NFL Draft to be the No. 3 pass rusher behind Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen. They also took Jalen McLeod in Round 6 to add depth to their rotation. If Danny Striggow makes a strong impression in training camp, perhaps he could join the group in the regular season.
Striggow does a good job of converting speed to power and did a good job stopping the run at Minnesota. He was a late call-up to the Senior Bowl but made the most of his chance and impressed the organizers. Add the fact that he logged 11 sacks the past two seasons, and he might have a shot.
Seth Henigan, Memphis quarterback
The Jaguars are set at quarterback with Trevor Lawrence firmly entrenched behind center and Nick Mullens slated to serve as the primary backup. However, Seth Henigan may be just too intriguing not to give him a roster spot.
Henigan lacks arm strength, but makes up for it with good mechanics and the work ethic that will help him get the most out of his reps and potentially compete for a roster spot. Out of the four, he may have the longest odds, but Mullen is far from unbeatable, so he might have a shot.
