The 2025 NFL Draft is suddenly more enticing for Jacksonville Jaguars fans after the team was able to land new head coach Liam Coen in an odd turn of events.

After thinking Coen was going to stay in Tampa Bay and firing general manager Trent Baalke, the Jaguars were supposedly prepared to look elsewhere. But, Coen indeed wound up taking the Jacksonville job and immediately, this fan base had much to look forward to.

Going into the draft, in a few months here, the Jaguars will have a good amount of picks all while holding the No. 5 overall selection. Under Coen, this offense is going to get a facelift and should see some significant pieces added via rookies.

Just how will the draft shake out for Coen in his first year as head coach? Our latest mock takes a stab at giving him just what he needs.

This 4-round 2025 NFL mock draft sees Liam Coen and the Jaguars get plenty of value

To begin the draft, Jacksonville makes a move back with the Dallas Cowboys.

Moving back seven spots, the Jaguars get another second-rounder this year and a third-rounder in 2026.

After trading back, the Jaguars give Coen one of the top wide receivers in this draft. Missouri's Luther Burden will immediately compliment Brian Thomas Jr. in a big way. Burden is phenomenal with the ball in his hands. Getting him the football quickly and watching him do the rest will be something Jaguars fans will love watching happen within this offense.

Jacksonville is going to need at least one starting guard this offseason if they let Brandon Scherff leave via free agency. Wyatt Milum is one of the best interior prospects in his class and would be a Day 1 starter in Jacksonville.

Cornerback is an obvious need for this team, and with their second pick in the second round, Jacksonville grabs Kentucky's Maxwell Hairston who has the ceiling to become a very good cover corner in the NFL. At 6-foot-1, Hairston offers good size and comes into the league with tremendous ball skills.

More Jaguars news:

With back-to-back picks, the Jags find a pair of defensive starters out of Kentucky. There should be no chance Deone Walker falls this far, but he did, and the Jaguars took him. Walker is a 6-foot-6, 345lb defensive tackle with a basketball background. He moves better than any man should at his size and could become a force for this Jacksonville defensive line.

Depth across the offensive line should be a priority. After the Jaguars traded Cam Robinson last year, it now makes a lot of sense for the team to add another young prospect within the first few rounds. Rutgers' Hollin Pierce is a towering 6-foot-8 with extreme length. His size alone makes him worth noticing. But, he does have the tools to become a good tackle if developed correctly.

Liam Coen will love this guy. UNLV's Ricky White is a big play waiting to happen. He can stretch the field as good as anybody and would come in to be a big-time deep threat. Sure, Gabriel Davis is on the roster, but the Jaguars do have an "out" on his contract next year.

Why not go quarterback, here, especially when it's a guy who finished third in Heisman Trophy voting? Mac Jones will probably get paid big backup money this offseason and the Jaguars should have a contingency plan for Trevor Lawrence at all times.
