After showing promise in the win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Jacksonville Jaguars had a chance to start a winning streak when they faced the Chicago Bears in Week 6. Unfortunately, they weren't able to seize the opportunity and were pummeled 35-16. Their odds of turning the season around took a massive hit after the loss, and the team's decision-maker should start to consider planning for 2025 and beyond.

One thing the top brass could do is trade underperforming players and acquire future assets to rebuild next year. Based on how they've played this season, nobody would bat an eye if Jacksonville deals the following three before the November deadline.

Cam Robinson, left tackle

After a rough start to the season, left tackle Cam Robinson has fared much better. In the Week 5 win over the Colts, he didn't give up a single sack or a total pressure. This is noteworthy when you take into account that he allowed four sacks and 13 total pressures the four games prior.

While Robinson has established himself as a leader on the offensive line, the Jags have a more than capable replacement in Walker Little if they choose to move on from him before the deadline. One thing that could incentivize the team's brass to pull the trigger is that trading him wouldn't create any dead money.

When you take into account that Robinson is slated to become a free agent next year, Jacksonville might be better off trading him now and acquiring something in return instead of letting him walk for nothing.

Travis Etienne, running back

Travis Etienne was an important contributor for the Jags the past two years, posting back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. However, he hasn't been nearly as productive in 2024. Compounding the issue is that fellow running back Tank Bigsby has outplayed him and quickly established himself as the top option in the Jacksonville backfield.

Granted, Etienne has been dealing with a shoulder injury, but the Jaguars could trade him to pave the way for Bigsby if they think is ready for an increased workload. Currently, there are a handful of teams that could use help at running back, so the former Clemson Tiger could have a robust market if he's placed on the trade block.

While it's true that there's value in keeping Etienne, future draft picks could also come in handy if the Jags start a rebuild in 2025.

Andre Cisco, safety

Following the disappointing loss to the Bears, safety Andre Cisco raised eyebrows when he told the media he saw lots of quit during the game. This was puzzling coming from the former Syracuse Orangeman, when you consider that he wasn't particularly great. Sure, you could make the case that he picked off rookie Caleb Williams but also missed several tackles that gave Chicago big gains on offense.

It's also worth noting that Trevor Lawrence and cornerback Tyson Campbell, drafted the same year as Cisco, have already gotten new deals but the safety is slated to become a free agent in 2025. Maybe the Jaguars don't think he's part of the team's long-term plans, and if that's the case, they might as well trade him now.
