Since James Gladstone became the general manager, the Jacksonville Jaguars haven't been afraid to make a bold move if they believe it will help them improve. Sometimes, the Jags have made a strong push to acquire a player they covet. The trades for Travis Hunter and Jakobi Meyers come to mind. On the other hand, they haven't hesitated to move on from player who don't fit their vision.

In just his first season at the helm, Gladstone traded center Luke Fortner, wide receiver Christian Kirk, running back Tank Bigsby, and cornerback Tyson Campbell. Surprisingly, Jacksonville has been relatively quiet in 2026, but that could change soon.

With this in mind, here are five players the team's brass could trade in the upcoming months.

Ezra Cleveland, Jaguars offensive guard

It took him a while, but Ezra Cleveland at last managed to put it all together in 2025. A second-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2020, the former Boise State Bronco was traded to the Jaguars in 2023 because left guard was a pressing need. Unfortunately, a foot injury prevented him from making an impact after landing in Duval.

Nevertheless, former general manager Trent Baalke still gave Cleveland a new three-year deal in 2024. He's now entering the last year of said deal and will tentatively start in Week 1. But if either sophomore Wyatt Milum or rookie Emmanuel Pregnon makes an impression in training camp.

When you take into account that trading Cleveland would free up a bit over $9 million, the Jags may rather move him now and get something in return rather than letting him leave for nothing in 2027.

Hunter Long, Jaguars tight end

The Jaguars have a logjam at tight end, but that could turn out to be a good problem. Brenton Strange is firmly entrenched as the starter and isn't going anywhere after signing an extension. Rookies Nate Boerkircher and Tanner Koziol will also have big roles next season. That may leave Quintin Morris and Hunter Long competing for the last roster spot (if Jacksonville carries four tight ends).

The team's brass likes Morris a lot. In fact, he moved ahead of Hunter and Johnny Mundt on the depth chart last year and got a new one-year deal early in 2026. That might make it the favorite to stick around. And if the Jaguars are going to cut ties with Long, they might as well trade him to a team in need of depth at tight end. The Carolina Panthers and the Green Bay Packers would be potential landing spots.

Walker Little, Jaguars offensive tackle

Walker Little flashed early in his NFL career, but it wasn't until the Jaguars traded Cam Robinson in 2024 that they paved the way for him to start. Early on, the former Stanford Cardinal fared well, which is partly why Trent Baalke gave him a three-year extension worth $40.5 million.

The issue is that Little didn't face competition ahead of the 2025 season. Without anybody to push him, that turned out to be a big mistake. The Houston, Texas native struggled and was eventually benched in favor of Cole Van Lanen.

However, Van Lanen suffered a knee injury late in 2025 and may not be ready for the start of training camp. That will give Little a chance to rebuild his stock, but once Van Lanen is healthy, he'll go back to the bench. While it makes sense to keep him for depth purposes, the Jags could also trade him to a team that needs a left tackle and free up $11.9 million along the way.

Christian Braswell, Jaguars cornerback

The Jaguars will have some tough decisions to make at a handful of position groups. Cornerback is one of them. Four roster spots are virtually earmarked for Travis Hunter, Montaric Brown, Jarrian Jones, and Jourdan Lewis. That could leave one or two up for grabs. Sophomore Jabbar Muhammed is making a strong bid for one of them.

Devon Marshall and Preston Hodge could also have a chance to make the team, but veteran Christian Braswell won't go down without a fight. If either Marshall or Hodge shows enough promise, though, Jacksonville could trade Braswell.

A sixth-round pick in 2023, Braswell has been a valuable depth piece throughout his stint with the Jags. But if one of the rookies flashes, trading him would create a bit over $1.1 million in space.

DaVon Hamilton, Jaguars defensive tackle

Defensive tackle is a question mark, and DaVon Hamilton has been a mainstay in the trenches. That said, he's entering the last year of a three-year extension worth $34.5 million he signed in 2023. If rookie Albert Regis or Ruke Orhorhoro makes an impact right off the bat, the Jaguars could trade Hamilton and save $8.4 million in space.

Of course, Hamilton could also be a pivotal rotational piece, but if a team comes calling, it would make sense to at least listen.
