The Jacksonville Jaguars are getting ready for a big off-season. After a very good regular season that led to them becoming the AFC South champions, there is a lot of hope coming into 2023.

A lot of focus naturally is on the offense. Thinking about what Trevor Lawrence might be able to accomplish in his career is incredibly fun to think about. However, that isn’t the only key to winning in the NFL.

The Jacksonville Jaguars could certainly use some more help on the defense as well. If they can build a great defense as Lawrence continues to get better, they can become a legit threat to win the Super Bowl.

Building this defense while Lawrence is still on his rookie deal would help them even more. That is why when great players become available, they should strongly consider them if they become available. The Jaguars are a good team who should be heavily considering every good player that hits the block.

The Jacksonville Jaguars might want to consider bringing in an old friend.

An old friend, Jalen Ramsey is rumored to be available from the Los Angeles Rams. It is highly likely that he is traded out of there within the coming weeks. Ramsey is still just 28 years old and is owed 17 million in 2023.

Why would the Rams do this? Well, after winning the Super Bowl a year ago, they were one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL as they defended their title. Now, it is unclear if they are rebuilding or retooling but Ramsey won’t be a part of either for them.

Ramsey spent parts of the first four years of his career before spending parts of the last four with the Rams including last year when they won the Super Bowl. Now would be a great time for him to bring that experience back to the Jags.

It is a hefty cap hit to deal with but the Jaguars could really use a great corner like Ramsey. The last time he was there, he didn’t have the team around him that would be there this time around. If both teams could make a deal like this work, everybody would be winners.
