The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the best teams in the AFC now. Their record wasn’t elite in 2022 but they came back from being 2-6 to become AFC South champions.

They also were led by Trevor Lawrence who was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL during that time and it is clear that he has arrived as one of the best.

Now, this off-season is very important for Jacksonville. They have to make sure that they are very smart so that they are able to continue it next year despite having to play a first-place schedule.

In order for that to happen, they have to avoid making decisions that will lead to football issues. These are three catastrophes that they must avoid this off-season:

1. Not helping Lawrence

The Jacksonville Jaguars need to put more around Trevor Lawrence in 2023.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were very fortunate to land the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Selecting Trevor Lawrence out of Clemson was something that has changed this franchise forever. Now, they need to help him take that next step.

Not giving him more help this off-season would be a complete tragedy. A catastrophe would be an understatement because they can really do something special if they play their cards right.

Whether it be more weapons, better defense, or anything in between, this team needs to see this as the greatest opportunity to win that they’ve ever had.

If they don’t do something about it, it will go down as one of the biggest disappointments in the history of the league. Trevor Lawrence needs the franchise around him to also put their best foot forward to get the most out of his talents.
