All three Florida NFL teams made it to the playoffs made it to the postseason this year. With great players like Tua Tagovailoa, Tom Brady, and Trevor Lawrence leading their teams for most of the season, it wasn’t much of a surprise to see.

Tua has been hurt a lot so far in his NFL career but has been great when healthy. However, you have to wonder how long the health leash is for the Dolphins before they move on to someone that will play more often.

The other two, however, are at totally different points in their life. Obviously, the Jaguars are set with Trevor Lawrence for the next decade or more. Now, Tom Brady has retired which paves the way for Lawrence to dominate Florida NFL football.

It also paves the way for him to rise the rankings of active NFL quarterbacks. Although Lawrence did have an amazing year, nobody would have taken him over Brady just yet. Now, that time has come. Lawrence is the best quarterback in Florida and one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Trevor Lawrence has been lucky enough to play in the same league as Tom Brady.

Brady’s retirement doesn’t directly affect the Jaguars or Lawrence because he was likely never leaving the NFC. They still have to deal with Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, and Justin Herbert amongst others for a long time going forward.

The good thing is that Lawrence can always look up to Brady and what he accomplished on the field as well as how he conducted himself off the field. It is no secret that diet and exercise had a lot to do with Brady’s ability to play well into his 40s.

Winning is the most important thing in football and it seems clear that Lawrence is learning that. There is nobody better to study in that regard than Tom Brady.

Tom played against the Jaguars six times in his NFL career, long before Trevor Lawrence, and went 5-1 against them. That might be another good reason that he is retiring because he was just so hard to beat all the time. Hopefully, Lawrence can follow in those footsteps just a little bit.
