The Jacksonville Jaguars will have a chance to strengthen their chances of winning the AFC South when they take on the New York Jets in Week 16 of the 2022 season. Even though the Jets have lost four of their last five games and have ruled quarterback Mike White out, they have a few things going out for them.

Wide receiver Garrett Wilson is having a fine rookie season, catching 67 passes with 966 yards with four touchdowns. He should give Zach Wilson, who’s set to start in relief of Mike White, a reliable target. Also, the Jets have one of the best defensive fronts in the league and the Jags will be without starting left tackle Cam Robinson, so Trevor Lawrence could end up having a hard time throwing the ball.

To make matters worse, the weather is expected to be a factor, with 90 percent chances for rain. On the other hand, Lawrence is playing at a high level and you could even make the case he was snubbed from the Pro Bowl. Moreover, the Jacksonville defense is forcing turnovers at a high rate and could give Zach Wilson fits. With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know for Thursday Night Football.

Jaguars vs. NY Jets Injury Report for Week 16

Jacksonville will be without outside linebacker Travon Walker for the second straight week. He was limited in practice and has already been ruled out for this one. Same with defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi, who was day-to-day with an ankle injury.

Trevor Lawrence (toe), right tackle Jawaan Taylor (hamstring), linebacker Chad Muma (ankle), safety Andrew Wingard (shoulder), and right guard Brandon Scherff (questionable) are all listed as questionable. Left tackle Cam Robinson popped up on the injury report but he’s reportedly been placed on Injured Reserve with a torn meniscus.

On the Jets’ sideline, Mike White is out and star defensive lineman Quinnen Williams, who got the questionable tag, will be a game-time decision. Cornerback Brandin Echols and wide receivers Denzel Mims and Jeff Smith have also been ruled out for the game. Defensive back Lamarcus Joyner and running back Zonovan Knight are also listed as questionable.

Jaguars vs. NY Jets Odds, Spread for Week 16
