Coming off arguably the worst season in franchise history, the Jacksonville Jaguars knew they had to make meaningful changes if they wanted to turn things around and started to win games. So far, they haven’t disappointed.

The Jags started by moving on from head coach Doug Marrone and hiring Urban Meyer as his replacement. They also gave their coaching staff a makeover and appointed Trent Baalke as their general manager after holding the position on an interim basis late in the 2020 season.

The changes didn’t stop in the coaching staff and the front office though. They had the most cap space in the league and made the most of in free agency, placing the franchise tag on left tackle Cam Robinson and bringing back key contributors such as Sidney Jones, defensive end Dawuane Smoot. After locking up their own players, Jacksonville went on a shopping spree and signed safety Rayshawn Jenkins, cornerback Shaquill Griffin and wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr.

The Jags didn’t limited themselves to splash-signings and also added depth to their roster. They upgraded their defensive by signing Roy Robertson-Harris, Baltimore Ravens defensive end Jihad Ward, safety Rudy Ford and trading for defensive tackle Malcom Brown.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Jaguars brought in wide receivers Phillip Dorsett and Jamal Agnew, who can also give the return game a boost, and tight end Chris Manhertz. They also signed Carlos Hyde to back up star running back James Robinson. On the other hand, Jacksonville can keep adding talent to their roster. There are still a few free agents available in the open market that could be had at an affordable rate. The B&T staff recently talked about three players the Jags should target and here are three more.
