The Jacksonville Jaguars will have a vast pool of coaches to choose from.

The Jacksonville Jaguars may be in the market for a new head coach in 2021. Although they have told Doug Marrone that his job is safe for the remainder of the year, they could part ways as soon as the season is over.

If the ‘Jags’ end up parting ways with Marrone, which is more probable than not, they will have a wide array of head-coaching candidates to choose from. They could go with an up-and-coming offensive mind such as Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith or Eric Beinimy of the Kansas City Chiefs.

If they don’t feel confident about bringing in an inexperienced head coach, they could always look for a savvy candidate with experience on the job, such as Todd Bowles, Jim Caldwell, or Marvin Lewis who interviewed for the Houston Texans’ opening Wednesday and is geting attention from different teams, as originally reported by Ian Rapoport and Mike Garapolo of NFL Media.

Keep in mind the Jaguars are in a prime position to land whichever candidate they want as they will be one of the most desirable destinations in this upcoming head-coaching hiring cycle. They will have 11 draft selections at their disposal and $77.61 million in cap space per Over the Cap.

However, you look at it, this Jacksonville team will have an abundance of options, some better than others, which will make this a very crucial search. Here’s the case for bringing in Lewis for an interview and possibly pursue him as the team’s next head coach.
